Her delivery in the video was fantastic- If she can get her public speaking up to that level, she'll be able to give some really special speeches.

And yes, in the last two years, Catherine has really grown into her role and she seems to really love it, which is important.

Excellent first video. She has definitely grown and gotten more comfortable in her role. I also think her public speaking is much better than when she first started.

To start with the positive: It's great she got involved with the Childrens' Hospice and good she made this video message.

But I must say I really don't like Kate's way of speaking, I definitely prefer seeing her to hearing her. Some words are over-accentuated, others almost swallowed, sometimes it sounds as if she is talking through her teeth. All in all her voice (not the colour, just the pronounciation) does not sound pleasant to my ears but very artificial and inhibited.
Is this the "aristocratic" way of speaking? Nervousness?
I am not a native English speaker, so it's interesting to read what others have to say about it.

I'm not a fan of thevoice and her words jumble (?) together, but a lot of people wait to hear the speech so messages get across. If you want to hear artificial watch videos for queen rania lol. Maby its the way theyr written and rehearse it but it sounds odd.

I'm a native British English speaker (as opposed to American) and she sounds fine to me. She's reading off an autocue - and she has little experience of that so it can sound a little stilted, but frankly most speeches sound like that. Only someone like Prince Charles who has over 40 years experience can be relaxed enough to ad lib! I think she's doing and sounding fine.

I think Catherine did a fine job in her first video message. I had been wondering when she would do it. The Queen, Charles, William and Harry are the ones that usually do video messages. Now Catherine has joined them in doing this and I think it's great.

I really enjoyed Catherines speech. She was very comfortable and has come a very long way when it comes to feeling relaxed. She really seems to have alot of compassion for children with cancer. Great charity.
