Great interview how lucky are the royal family to have William. Such a difficult job he's doing. Loved when he was asked how hard is it the leave his family each day, he said no harder than anyone else. Such a down to earth young man

I don't know, what I got out the short interview is that William knows he won't be able to do this new job for too long and down the road things are going to get difficult. He's simply enjoying the moment of learning and helping others at this time with the Air Ambulance. He knows that he and Catherine will have to balance out family life and official duties, but before the window closes, he's taking on a fantastic job and I think his whole family supports him and is behind him.

While he's focusing on his job, I hope Catherine's royal role will become more defined.

Our national morning news covered the new job: Prince William starts work as air ambulance pilot - CBS News

Of interest - the crew took its first call just after 9 am and EAAA plans to issue a statement on it later in the day. I wonder about that though as one cannot depend good news or the approval of patients/family.

I read an article from the Cambridge news where apparently the call got called off before the helicopter got there. Hopefully, it was that it wasn't as serious for the copter instead of a worst scenario.

First EAAA call details: Prince William's first mission with East Anglian Air Ambulance in Cambridge stood down en route | Cambridge News

We learn the names of the rest of the crew, that heli fuel is precious and that the PR person calls him "William." I was hoping for "Wills," personally.

Is he now using Cambridge as a last name or is he still using Wales, like he did when he was in the RAF?

Which makes sense- he's used that name his entire life and it will probably become his title in the next decade or so.

Once upon a time (in fact just last month) there was a prince of a little island kingdom (about 94 million square miles). He ruled (really he’s second in line to the throne, and it’s a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary government) justly, wisely, and magnanimously. He was loved and respected by all (well, almost all) his subjects. He in turn loved and respected all his subjects. In his just, wise, and magnanimous heart he had a special place for the kingdom’s Jews — and they for him and his family. In fact on every Shabbat and on the festivals, the Jews would pray for and bless the prince’s grandmother, the queen, as well as all the royal family.

The prince had learned a little about the kingdom’s Jews from his parents. They had attended charity events held by institutions in the Jewish community. They must have communicated their admiration for this special community to the prince for he seemed to know and understand the ways of the Jews.

THE Duke of Cambridge has sent a touching handwritten letter to a father who has a life-limiting illness.

Jason Liversidge, 39, of Rise, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2013.

Mr Liversidge, his wife Liz and their two children recently appeared on hit BBC One show DIY SOS.

The family has since received a letter from Prince William after he watched the programme, which showed their home being completely transformed to adapt to Mr Liversidge's needs.

Yes he does. His compassion for others never fails to amaze me.

I saw that yesterday too. The posters in the 'Comment' section were pretty much their usual nasty, speculative selves. I'm sure the Rag will follow this up with a story of an 'alleged, sordid royal affaiar' in a week or two.
