Thanks to Stix over at another board I found some info about yesterday's polo game that wasn't pointed out because of all the fuss over William and Kate

Harry and William were playing to raise money for 3 of their charities, Sentebale, the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, and the Child Bereavement Charity.

I noticed in the skill force team building exercise, William is not wearing a protective helmet. I hope someone thought to offer him one.

Prince William treks through rain for charity... but high winds reveal growing bald patch

Quote:
Prince William battled torrential rain to trek up a Cumbrian mountain with a group of young homeless people today.
The royal completed the two-hour fell walk with youngsters from Centrepoint in Newcastle, which supports young people living on the streets.

William, who is patron of the charity, said it was a great opportunity to provide them with a different perspective on life.

They must be at a really high altitude. I see clouds around the mountain in the background in this photo. Is this place he's at in Wales or England?
I also notice in some pictures he's wearing a coat and others he's not.

Cumbria's one of the northernmost counties in England. I think the terrain up there is pretty rugged in places, so it probably was indeed quite a high elevation! (ETA: Sonjapearl, you beat me to it! )

Prince William: Patron of WellChild, a charity which cares for sick children

Here's an article on the second half of the day's activities: William is the prince of cuddles.

He looks like he's a real natural with children -- I love the picture where he's hugging the little boy! Very sweet.

"Prince of Cuddles" - that's very cute.
It looks like he had fun and yes he looks like he's good with children. He'll probably make a great father some day.

Aw - I like the picture of him with eight-year-old Harrison Holmes. It's too bad he's sick - I wonder what he has.

I like that we can watch a video of him. Maybe they'll start doing these videos more often. Oh technology!
He seems like such a warm and friendly person.

Also can someone tell me how to copy what someone says so it shows up in the blue box. I hope that makes sense.
