Diana OFTEN wore designers from countries she was visiting... Most famously Hachi from Japan and Chanel when arriving in Paris. It is gesture of goodwill and respect. Kate wore Erdem twice in Canada and DVF in California. I would expect to see a few more nods to her hosts along this tour.

Isnt he also known here in the U.S.? The name is familiar somehow. Thought I remember the name from Neiman Marcus or something. His clothing is also in Vogue magazine. I think he is fairly well known in the couture circle. Its a great dress and Catherine wears it well. I really like when she wears bold colors, although, this is a little different for her.
 
Yes he lives in the US now...and was showing at fashion week today. So was Jenny Packham... Nice timing Kate.

Oh, how precious are these pictures? I work with preschoolers, and they're all big fans of princess-related stuff (even boys :D). I'm envisioning their reaction to a REAL prince and princess, and the smiles and wonder on the faces of the kids in the shots would be equivalent to those of my students (I'm trying to figure out how to talk to them about real-life princesses, since we do live in the States, but I'm going to try my darnest to come up with something engaging).

I will never get enough of this couple and kids. They're so natural with them, it's delightful and heartwarming. Looks like one of the little girls had a cast on her arm. Wonder if she got a 'princess' to sign it :D.

I can so see Charles in the top right picture. Honestly, the look on William's face, the way he has his hands, it all just screams Charles.

I've got to say, I wasn't eagerly anticipating this tour but I think The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are doing a great job so far! I'm thoroughly enjoying reading through this thread.

My body is like dying right now I've been sleeping 5 hours a day the past 2 days cause of this tour and cause of school and work. Alas another insane day for me tomorrow so I have to head out.

I just wanted to say that up next they have a reception for prominent Singaporeans and members of the British and international expatriate communities. Entertainment will be provided by Musicity, a program blending British, Singaporean and other musical genres.

They are very friendly and Kate seems to be forever ready to wave whenever we call out to her. I feel that they would love to interact more with Singaporeans but because of the tight schedule, they are not able to do so. They reach one place for about 30mins then there they were been whisked off to another place, it's really touch and go.

One thing I learn though is that should you have the chance to welcome them at your country. Just buy flower for them. Any other gift will have to be pre-approved by the British High Comm.

No. This was released by our Singapore local media Channel Newsasia. Usually for royal visits, Our Singapore Government or media do not release details. So this is quite a first for us but the info details was released by British High Comm, not the Government, According to the Commissioner, they received a lot of queries (that includes me who will email or FB them every other days) so they decided to make an exceptional.

For the other countries, think will depend on their British High Comm then.

Could these two just be on tour all the time? I love all the pictures and videos, very kindly collated by the consistently wonderful ghost_night and others.

tlkhlm - so glad you got so close to William and Kate. Thank you for your videos.

There seem to be big crowds out to see them, despite the heat and humidity. I loved Kate flexing her muscles after placing the final piece of that Rolls Royce engine. Singapore has certainly given them a very warm welcome.

Quite right! Don't forget that Diana wore Chanel to great acclaim when she and Charles visited on their first Royal Visit there.
 
Apparently some people who were in the crowds to see William and Kate were fainting due to the heat and humidity. Fair play to William in particular for persevering with a full suit in that climate.

They seem to be enjoying themselves despite the hectic schedule.
