No need to have problems over how Catherine is dressed unless you are getting paid as her stylist.
Relax and enjoy the newly married couple on their first overseas trip. They are lovely and doing a great job for the Queen. If Catherine's clothes become a major issue for you I suggest find something else to look at.
Well said!! You know, seeing the couple of postings by people critizing Kate's style has produced two very different emotions w/me...First being amusement and pride. If this is all some can find to pounce on, then we know just *how* well the Royal Tour Rookie has been doing so far. Which is *very* well indeed.
The second though is sadness. Kate's style is my and also my nieces styles. Which is elegant and simple. The fact that someone who is in her late 20's is not only looking incredably elegant, but also young and true to herself as well, is getting called "matronly looking" is a sad sign of our times. We've gotten so used to female Celebrities wearing like what my nieces and I call "Sloppy Style" it's beyond sad.
What that means, is a style that's better suited to women in the dark of night standing on a street corner. Not sleek, elegant and well put together, but still being true to your age and yourself. As I heard a guy say when asked for his opinion on the Wedding, he said he was so happy his daughter would *finally* have someone worthy of copying when it came to behaviour and how to dress, instead of the current grouping of Pop Princesses and Reality Stars.
I've thought ever since hearing him, that Kate could not have been given a more wonderful compliment.
As for today/yesterday....Did anyone else see the Magic Trick at the Homeless Youth Shelter? Good thing I was already sitting on the floor, otherwise I would have fallen off my chair laughing at Kate's reaction. It was one of those illiusions where a ball is seen and then by slight of hand, ends up in the other person's hand.
He'd asked Kate to close her one hand before starting the trick and when the ball was no where to be seen, she asked where it was. He told her in her closed hand. She told him no it wasn't, but when she opened up her hand, there was the ball!! She gave this squeal, jumped back a wee bit and then dropped both the ball and her bag. When she picked both back up off the floor, Kate asked w/her eyes the widest I've ever seen them, "How did you do *that*!?!" ROTFLOL!!!
Thank God they're out of Quebec. I hope those protestors are proud of themselves though. They've certainly given themselves and their Province a black eye in the World's Press thanks to their antics. I'm just surprised it happened in Montreal. I would have thought that would have happened in Quebec City. Regardless, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that something horribly nasty almost did happen and it sure doesn't help Quebec's image too much, does it?
Can't wait for tomorrow and all that's going to happen in PEI or as it's known in this house, Anne of Green Gables Country.
