On my TV (and my friend's TV) it was more like fuschia and oh so beautiful but since all the pictures show purple then maybe our old TVs are gonna go and viva plasma!

Watching the tree planting...

I don't think Kate has ever used a shovel before. (The way she held it.) William has.

Kate's wearing a greyish dress. They're both there with the Governor General and his wife, talking to the public.

Made me laugh. Darn, I missed that though, the silly ads took the video forever to load! Now they are just meeting people and you can't even see them that well - partially because Kate's in dismal grey.

It actually looks like a sage green to me. At least on my TV.

I loved when the little girl playing with the skirt of her dress did a curtsey and was congratulated by Catherine (or was it William).

So she would put another shoveling of dirt at the base of the tree.

A couple of screen caps...only from the back unfortunately as I caught the live stream a little late

That's so touching...wonder what must be going through William's mind looking at the tree his parents planted nearly 30 years ago.

Thanks Humera!

I love how William is smiling while Kate is shoveling.

Its great to able to hear every now and then what they're saying. Kate's just talking to a group of seniors, I think they're war brides and they all stood to greet her and she said two or three times "Please don't stand up" and then she said "Please sit down."
She just wished them Happy Canada Day.
