Police helicopters have just returned to Admiralty House - must be getting ready for the ten minute car trip to Taronga zoo.

(Also looks to be TV helicopters.)

TV showing cars parked at Admiralty House - awaiting the Royal passengers.

Reports of people camping out overnight to get into the zoo.

Some guys dressed up as Buckingham Palace guards are marching around outside Taronga .

Live TV coverage hovering over the cars - waiting to see if PG gets in I guess.

If PG attends, there will be official photos of him with a bilby.

PG is getting in his car seat.

The Duchess was broadcast strapping Prince George in.

They're on their way.

(The Duchess wearing a light-coloured dress, the Duke with his shirt sleeves rolled up by the look of it.)

Almost there - I can see the police helicopters travel around the Harbour.

Arrived - footage inside the zoo. The Duchess in light yellow. PG in blue.

I envy them being at the Zoo this afternoon. It's in a beautiful spot and there are some wonderful exhibits there. I miss regularly seeing the red pandas now I no longer live in Sydney. And the meerkats. And the otters. I hope they get to see a good range of animals and that George enjoys it. They might concentrate on Australian native animals though. Time will tell.

Only 20 minutes to go. Very much looking forward to seeing photos of this engagement. BTW the giraffes have the best view in Sydney of the harbour and city!

My children went to see a dress rehearsal for the "bird display" on Wednesday. Apparantley it is an extra special royal performance!

He didn't think too much of his new toy Bilby, did he!?! ROTFLOL!!! .

Can not wait to see all the pictures later on this morning. One thing for sure, William and Kate were not kidding when they've said George is a handful. W/out a doubt, he is a busy boy just from what we've seen.

Bet they can't wait for him to start walking. .

George just met his bilby namesake and seemed very impressed. Beautiful blue outfit!

George unveiled a plaque and statue and promptly threw away a soft toy bilby for Catherine to pick up! So cute!

Babies can be very funny and George certainly is indeed. He's a very active and happy baby. I can see William & Catherine running around Kensington Palace after George.

It was as if he knew that he had to unveil the plaque and statue.

No worries Valerie Rose.

Isn't that George something.

The professional photographers must be estatic with what they've been able to capture.

He certainly didn't. Such a funny moment.

George is absolutely adorable. Can't wait to see more photos from the zoo.

You know, I can easily see Charles watching that w/an ear to ear grin and thinking...

It only took close to 32 years, but I finally have some payback for when he did stuff like that to *me*!!

Yes, like flushing an expensive shoe down the toilet and also pressing the security button!

Oh my gosh! I just saw the video of the visit to the bilby exhibit. PG is quite a character! He is just adorable. He definitely seems like he's already a handful and it's only going to get crazier once he starts walking (any day now)!

I'm very much enjoying and appreciating the commentary from SunLion and all of the other diligent forum members.

ETA: Does any picture from the tour top this one?! https://31.media.tumblr.com/86cff013...tf2o3_1280.jpg

I don't think so. What a beautiful family.

Zoo visit over, next stop Canberra-
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finished their visit to Taronga zoo. The whole family will now move camp to Canberra, where they'll be based for the rest of the visit which winds up on Anzac Day. They're due to arrive in Canberra later this afternoon."

It's been great fun Sunnystar.

Did you notice the Duke seemed to pull a face when he must have been told what it was he was feeding the bilby?

Mealey worms!

And only four hundred bilbies left in the wild. Great attention from the Cambridge family.
