ICAP's charity day: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge join brokers, in pictures - Telegraph

Quote:
Let's make a royal deal!

Prince William and Princess Kate took to the phones on the trading floor Wednesday morning at brokerage firm ICAP's annual Christmas Charity Day held in the heart of London's financial district.

Kate, 33, looked the part in a chic teal LK Bennett peplum suit and dark heels (and a shorter hairstyle!), as she and William, 33, were met at the doors by Lord Mayor of London Jeffery Evans and ICAP Chief Executive Michael Spencer, before moving inside to "close" deals with traders from across the globe.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken part in ICAP's 23rd annual Charity Day. The trading company will donate a day's revenue to SkillForce, Sportsaid and Place2Be, of which The Duke and Duchess are Patrons. The Duke and Duchess were taken on a tour of the ICAP offices where they met ICAP brokers trading across a range of asset classes. Under the guidance of the brokers, The Duke and Duchess spoke to a small number of ICAP clients to 'close' deals over the telephone-

In the first picture you can see so much William. Same-shaped head, and similar noses.

Kate & William helped @ICAPCharityDay to raise £7.5m yesterday - around 3% of ICAP’s full year pre-tax trading profits. #ICAPCharityDay

This past summer The Daily Mail wrote that the Cambridges would be touring the Caribbean in early 2016. Shouldn't there be an itinerary by now? Or at the very least be an official announcement of the tour, like the Indian tour in April?

I'm starting to think The Daily Mail lied to us.

Definitely would have been announced by now. Maybe a fall tour for the Cambridges but not 2 spring tours. Would not go to the Caribbean in the fall since that's hurricane season. I don't think the Middletons went to Mustique in Oct/Nov like the Mail said they would.

Yes, that so-called fall holiday to Mustique was contingent on the Cambridges being busy touring the Caribbean in January.

Looks like this can be added to Katie Nicholl's Book of Lies, Volume 500.

I would imagine that most events and engagements and "biggies" are already on the calender for the coming year and criticism will have played no part in it whatsoever. I would be very surprised if any negative press would bother tham at all.

But that's just me.

Completely agree with you, the BRF does not give a hoot about the so called schedule that the DF puts out for the royal family to follow. The BRF does their own thing all the time as they should

A teenager who shared her experience of mental health problems with William and Kate has said they are raising more positive awareness “than anyone else could” over young people’s mental health.

Nikki Mattocks, who met Kate and William in October at Harrow College, said they gave her “so much more than just an hour” and have made people sit up and pay attention to the struggle.

She said young people she knows now feel more confident talking to their families about mental health after the royal couple showed there shouldn’t be any stigma attached to the problems.

And Nikki, 18, believes their approach of making this a continued charitable focus for 2016 will have a lasting effect.

I'm glad that those who are benefiting from the programs like the one described in the article are sharing how it has impacted their lives in a positive manner.
