The meeting, at North Wooton scout hut next Wednesday, is part of the Cubs’ centenery celebrations.
Kensington Palace said: “The Duchess of Cambridge will attend a special Cub Scout Pack meeting with Cubs from the Kings Lynn District to celebrate 100 years of Cubs. Her Royal Highness will join the Pack as they take part in games and activities themed around looking after yourself and others physically and emotionally.
“Activities will include a parachute game to encourage teamwork and cooperation, first aid training and cub cake icing. They will then join together to renew their Cub Scout promise and celebrate the Cubs’ 100th anniversary with the lighting of 100 candles and a rendition of happy birthday.”

Speaking as proud Member in good standing of the Girl Guides of Canada, there is nothing more special than renewing your promise at a big event like this. Doing it w/Kate there though? These kids and their Families will never forget it.

The Duchess, who previously worked as a volunteer with a Cub Scout pack when she and the Duke of Cambridge lived in Anglesey, North Wales, joined 24 girls and boys aged between 8 and 10½ – all from the Kings Lynn area.
The Duchess kick-started the evening’s activities by leading the children in some parachute games, which are designed to help develop teamwork and cooperation skills. She then helped other leaders to run three further activities designed to:
- Learn basic first aid skills
- Build positive relationships with others and themselves, raising confidence and self esteem
- Develop creative skills by decorating some special Cubs100 ‘Cub cakes'

Friday 16th December itself marks the 100 year anniversary of the official foundation of the organisation - originally known as the Wolf Cubs - by Vera Barclay and Robert Baden-Powell, as a junior entry scheme, for eight to ten-and-a-half-year-olds, to his successful Boy Scouts movement.
...On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge, another high profile signing to the Cubs’ roster of volunteers, and a former Girl Guide herself, joined a pack in King’s Lynn, near her Norfolk home, for baking, games and first aid training.
Backshall feels “absolutely sure” that her involvement has helped the number of Cub Scouts in the UK swell to more 150,000, almost a quarter of whom are girls: “Every time you bring in a powerful figurehead like Kate, you reinvigorate the idea of what Scouting is,” he says, keen to show that it has moved on from the days of “being around a bonfire singing Ging Gang Goolie.”
There is definitely grouping going on with the patronages on the list. Charles is the first three then Camilla then William then Kate then Harry, Andrew, Edward, Sophie and finally Anne. Both tennis ones are Kate's. Action for Children is also Kate's with the Blind Veterans being Harry's

Kate, 33, was handed a tissue by one mother, who says her 13-year-old daughter is her main caretaker during bouts of severe illness.
The royal heard the story during a private meeting while visiting the Cape Hill Children’s Center in Smethwick, Birmingham, Wednesday. The center is run by Action for Children, a U.K. charity that supports vulnerable and neglected children.
Kate went around the table, making “eye-contact with all of us,” said one mom, and listened intently to their “heart-wrenching stories.
