Oh well, seems I overslept the news....so it is George.... how boring! They should have taken the real name of the great-granddad: ALBERT!!!

I'm very pleased indeed with all the names! I like the combination very much and said altogether they flow very nicely.
I do now wonder if they hope to have afew more children in the future in order to use all the other names we like, including Philip, Michael and of-course James!
Naturally, in the hope that Harry marries and has children there will be plenty of scope for names!
Yes, a good, solid, regal name for our Prince George!

This is my private theory. GAL is short for Galahad, which would not have been acceptable. He will always be a shining armor kinda guy to me.

Oh and three names makes it easier on the girl who marries him, one day.

Interestingly enough, the last male "Cambridge baby" was also Prince George, and he was known as "Prince George of Cambridge" for the first 31 years of his life before inheriting the dukedom.

That said: love the baby's name, and (although that's not the most important thing) i think HM will be very pleased with the 'George' but then i'm sure she'd be pleased with whatever name they'd give him (yeah, maybe not 'North')
I'm glad you mentioned that, as I was curious to the use of the terminology in the UK.

As for the name, I think anyone who pays much attention to the British Royal Family isn't surprised at all, but I do see a lot of my friends on Twitter being disappointed that it's boring - I think some people were expecting a celebrity-esque name (perhaps a Prince South, East, or West, lol).

If he doesn't become a homosexual. Everything is possible.

I agree that they probably avoided some family names so they don't leave anyone out.

Also IMO Albert is much worse than George. George Alexander Louis is a good name for a prince and future monarch.

George of course has been the name of 6 kings of the UK, Louis could be a nod to both the Duke of Edinburghs uncle and Viscount Althorp - so both Williams parents families are honoured

My greatest fear...but also...predictable. GEORGE!!!! I HATE THE NAME, but I love the prince and that's what matters, I think as more as I see him in pictures and possible future appearences, I believe the name will grow a bit on me.

I really like Alexander and Louis, nice choices of middle names. And I am surprised as well by 3 names and not 4, but it's also not bad at all, sometimes lots of names can be confusing in certain circumstances.

I do think the name as combination does flow very nicely surprised it is only 3 names and I really love the middle names but George was very predictable, we have had so many and recently was hoping for a different first name but you never know he may pick one of his middle names as he Monarch name

It's one of Prince Charles's names. The media is completely missing that. Apparently the couple said they choose it because they liked it, not for any significance, but I don't know.

I agree. Not keen on the name George at all. Never liked it and don't see it changing even with the Royal Baby sporting it. I love Alexander and would have been okay with Louie....but then it isn't my child.
