Actually...since Edward and Sophie have been going to more weddings and socializing with "these people" one could argue that they have closer relationships than Charles even though he is the heir.

I believe what the main issue is the phrase "can't be bothered" is a little harsh. Considering that William has finished college and military schooling, I think we can agree that he has been a little busy. Also, as previously pointed out...William is part of the sandwich generation. He is around the same age as Victoria but considerably younger than WA and Frederik...why he have gone to their weddings? And really....Margrethe and CG are what....first cousins...so of course they have a closer relationship. And Beatrix is Victoria's godmother. We don't follow the royals 24/7 so we don't know who knows who...if people visit each other, speak on the phone, etc.

Well maybe his wedding would be a good place to start getting to know them if he doesn't ? For our sakes I hope lots of royals are invited and attend!

Do you want a picture of your face rubbed in the dirt by purpose? Or what is it that "tea Towels" are made for? I ( as a German, so please understand) think it's disgusting to have pictures of people on something that is considered a part of your "dirt-removal set" - even though you might not use it for this - some people do!

No, I made a different point: as Charles is known as being a friend of Constantine, there is a good chance that "behind locked doors" William is a friend of Constantine's offspring. Especially as William as male-line grandson of a "prince of Greece and Denmark" has his own family connections to Pavlos and his cousins.

Tea towels are made to clean your dishes with. At least with us (your western neighbours ) they are used for that.
I wouldn't want a tea towel as I find this occasion way too special for such a thing, I'd much rather prefer a coffee mug or whatever else sustainable will be available.

I think most people would use those more for decoration then for use. I don't use any of the collectable cups or items that have royal faces on them. Most people I know who buy stuff like this only use it for decoration or for display. If I could I would get a cup or maybe a plate, or something that would look nice in my cabinet where I have some nice stuff in it.

Though I can see why Kate and William would say no to tea towels, I wouldn't want to imagine what people would be using it for.

Constatine is also William's godfather. Not that that means anything as Anne is Haakon of Norway's godmother...and was a bridesmaid at Constatine's wedding...but Charles and the Greeks seem to have a closer relationship. So you should definitely see him there.

Can I ask a question without starting a huge argument Ok so I re-read the piece about Kate getting counseling and the thing that stood out to me was they said like Diana she and William will spend alot of time apart as full time royals. Now considering at the time his father was not only hier to the throne but Prince of Wales as well do you think they'll be apart as much as Charles and Diana were but tbh I don't even know how much they were apart after the wedding it felt like we always saw them together.

I highly doubt this but the frist thing that came to my mind when I saw this was: Diana's sisters telling her it was too late to back out of the wedding as her face was already on the tea towels ...

For the first couple of years Diana and Charles were together on engagements. The only reason I can think of to why kate would be on her own would be his military duties.

That was my first thought as well.

Mine too the first thing I heard in my head after reading that was "Bad luck Dutch your face is on the tea towels so it's too late to chicken out"

same here but they'll claiming they'll spend alot of time apart during the time they are full time royals. As far as I can recall until the marriage spiraled downwards at the end of day Charles and Diana would still see each other at home even if they had seperate engagements earlier that day

I think until William finishes up his stint in SAR in Wales, they actually won't be full time royals. If he doesn't reenlist after that and they do become full time royals, I think the marriage will be on solid enough ground. Kate has over the years spent time apart from seeing William when he had other things going on so I really don't think it will bother her as much as perhaps it did Diana after she married Charles. After knowing and being with William for 8 some years, I really think she's got a good clue what she's in for.

Lets break down William's life since he left Eton:

1. Gap Year - He travelled quite a bit and worked while he was in England.
2. University - 3 years. Obviously study was his first consideration
3. Sandhurst - Training and his time was regimented by the Army.
4. Services Familiarisation - Again a serving officer so the forces would have first call on his time.
5. Search and Rescue training and service.

I think this shows that William hasn't had much time since his 18th birthday to be gadding around the world socialising. He takes his duties seriously.

To dry dishes. I've also heard them called "cup towels."
