Have the invitations been sent yet?
I keep reading that this person or that person will/will not attend.
I thought they hadn't yet gone out?

The invitations better be out or at least soon!
It's already almost February! What are they waiting for?

Who says they are waiting for anything? I think they are just "working off a list" concerning all the arrangements to be made. They really won't be too late sending out the invitations.
I take it that you are just very curious to see who will be attending
So am I, but we will know it in time.

The Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katharine of Yugoslavia have accepted their invitation from Her Majesty. Therefore, that's proof the invites have been sent out.

Yes I'm definitely curious...can't wait to see who'll attend! While they're at it they can send an invitation my way!

Seriously, I can understand why Catherine didn't meet the Queen until a few years ago- William has had many girlfriends, and even we ordinary people don't necessarily introduce all of our sweethearts to Granny- that's reserved for "the one".

Any idea which other royals may be invited?

I think the Greek ,Norwegian and Danish members of the royal families will come for sure(I don't mean all of them). It's interesting if somebody from Monaco comes.

It surprised me that the invitations were from HM. I would have expected a combo of the Middletons and the PoW. I hope we get to see one published soon!

As was explained, the Queen is the highest-ranking royal in the BRF, so all invitations come from her, even if it's her grandson that is getting married, not one of her children. While it's William and Catherine's wedding, all guests invited are guests of the Queen as well, not just the PoW and the Middletons.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but HM is the godmother of this prince and his children are in line to the British throne. I assume this couple were on her list (or perhaps invited separately and personally?).

Second foreign royal family has accepted!

I spoke to the Greek royal household yesterday and they confirmed ex-King Constantine, Queen Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Pavlov attending.

Also he said this as well:

Invitations won't be sent out until mid-February but the argument is that foreign royals, as opposed to mere mortals, need to plan diaries. The Queen's private secretary has written to the private secs of all Europe's major royal families, asking them to keep April 29 free.

Well the Greek royals are really not a suprise. Particularly King Constatine, who is after all Williams godfather and I believe attended the Sandhurt graduation of William. Nor Crown Prince Pavlos since William is godfather to his son. I wonder if little Konstatin Alexios (sp) will be in the bridal party? Of course he is not so little anymore.

How does such an invitation work, with royals?
I mean, take the Danish royal family...would the Queen invite the Queen of Denmark, or the Crown Prince, or Prince Joachim and his wife, or who?
Or would she send out a blanket invitation to the entire family, and wait to see who's coming to represent them?
But then, what if everyone wants to come?
