The engagement was announced between Prince Abdul Malik al-Bolkiah of Brunei (b.30 April 1983) [youngest of six children together of Sultan of Brunei, Hassan al-Bolkiah (b.1946) & his wife, Queen Saleha (b.1946)] & Dayangku Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah Pengiran Haji Bolkiah on 11 January. The wedding ceremonies will take place from 5 to 15 April 2015.

Prince Maximilian-Alexander of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (b.31 July 1980) [son of Prince Otto-Ludwig of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (b.1938) & his wife Annette, nee Freiin von Cramm (b.1944)] got engaged to Franziska Balzer this year.

Maximilian-Alexander is the youngest of five children and last one who marries.

They plan to marry in Salem in July.

There is an error here, Alina Cecile von Hennings (b.1984) is since 4 June 2011 a wife of his maternal first cousin, Prince Maximilian Lobkowicz (b.1982) [son of Countess Johanna of-Castell-Castell, twin sister of Countess Philippa, & her husband, Prince Johannes of Lobkowicz (b.1954); they have two children: Josephine (b.2011) & Melchior (b.2014):

The engagement was announced 30 July, 2015, between William John P. Hicks (born 1983), son of Mr & Mrs Jeremy Hicks, of Winstone, co Gloucester, & Alexia Katherine Brandram (b 6 Dec, 1985), scion of that landed family, & descended from the Royal House of Greece & Denmark, younger daughter of (Richard) Paul George Andrew Brandram (b 1 Apr 1948), of London, by his former 1st wife the former Jennifer Diane Steele (b 1951, now Mrs Robert Enslow, also of London).


Alexia Brandram's paternal grandmother was HRH Princess Katherine of Greece & Denmark (1913-2007), who married Richard Campbell Brandram (1911-94) and became (by courtesy of King George VI) 'Lady Katherine Brandram'.

William Hicks's mother is the former Joanna Vivian Palairet (b 1955), is a great-niece of Sir Michael Palairet, who was British Ambassador to Greece in the Second World War.

On 8 September seven years have passed since her wedding to Klaus Runow (b.3 July 1964); they divorced reportedly in April. They have two sons: Heinrich (b.2010) & Johannes (b.2012).

A von Maltzan may not be ebenbürtig according to the old Gotha rules but when it comes to lineage they're as posh as it gets.

I remember reading about a von Maltzan who hid her Jewish fiancé under a converted sofa for several years and how when the Gestapo questioned her brought up her ancient Prussian lineage as a sign of how she couldn't possibly be against the nazis.

H.S.H. Prince Johannes von Auersperg-Trautson and Countess Maria-Fátima Czernin von und zu Chudenitz got engaged sometime in 2015.

Johannes, 30, is the eldest son and third child of Prince Gobert von Auersperg-Trautson and of his wife, née Countess Ladislaja Hoyos, Baroness zu Stichsenstein.
Maria-Fátima, 23, is the third daughter and fifth child of Count Karl Eugen Czernin von und zu Chudenitz and of his wife, née Countess Fiona von Rechberg.

Felipe is third of four sons and second one who marries; his oldest brother Sebastian (b.1984) is married to married Andrea Villarreal since 2011: they have a son Nicolas.
Pedro (b.1985) & Andres (b.1988) are single.
