Marie Anne von Simson, née Altgravine zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim und Dyck, passed away on 8 December 2015, aged 82.

She was born at Alfter on 18 August 1933, the second daughter of Fürst Franz Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim und Dyck and of his wife, née Princess Cäcilie zu Salm-Salm.
She married firstly in 1964 to the Hon. Alexander Campbell Geddes (1910-1971), humself a son of Auckland Geddes, 1st Baron Geddes, and of his wife, née Isabella Gamble Ross; Alexander's sister was Margaret, wife of Prince Louis of Hesse and by Rhine.
After her first husband's death, she remarried to art historian Prof. Otto von Simson (1912-1993).
She had two children by her first marriage, Camilla (Mrs. Mark Mc Donnell) and Stephen Campbell Geddes.
She is survived by her children, children-in-law and grandchildren, as well as by her sisters Isabella (Dowager Duchess von Ratibor and Fürstin von Corvey) and Cecilie.

Different Turkish media are reporting that Princess Alya Nur of Liechtenstein, one and a half year old daughter of Prince Rudolf, grandson of Prince Franz Josef II and Princess Gina, and his wife née Tılsım Tanberk, died while in the U.S. after a piece of food got stuck in her trachea.

Sheikh Isa bin Muhammad bin ‘Abdu’llah al-Khalifa died on 13 August.

He was born in Muharraq in 1938 as eighth and youngest son of Sheikh Muhammad bin ‘Abdu’llah al-Khalifa (1901-1939).
He was Advocate, Judge of Bahrain Junior Court, President of Grand Court, Judge of Court of Appeal, Deputy Minister for Justice, Minister for Justice, Islamic Affairs & Endowments 1974-1975, and for Labour & Social Affairs 1975. Patron & Chair Board of Governors of Ibn Al-Hytham Islamic Sch 1989-2015. President Sunni Endowments Council.

Princess Elvira Zogu of Albania died on 11 November last year.

She was born in Burel on 3 May 1932 as an only child together of Prince Xhelal Bey Zogu of Albania (1881-1934) & his second wife Ikbal Pekkini, who died giving birth to her.
She married in Alexandia on 10 June 1955 Ibrahim Khadidi (b.1934) but they separated in 1986.
She is survived by half-brother Skender (b.1933) [from her father's third marriage] and her half-sister Vera (b.1936)& half-brother Mirgin (b.1937) [from her father's fourth and last marriage]; her another half-sister Melita follwed her exactly two months later.

What tragic news, my condolences to the princely family, but particularly the parents of little Princess Alienor. No parents should have to outlive their own children.

Amadea Sachs, nee Princess Reuss died last year (probably in summer or autumn).

She was born in Vienna on 23 June 1923 as third of six children and oldest daughter of Prince Heinrich XXXIX Reuss, who succeeded his father in the estates, but renounced his rights to the title of Prince Reuss (1891-1946) & his wife Antonia, nee Countess of Castell-Castell (1896-1971).
She married in Ernstbrunn on 2 January 1959 Reinhold Sachs (1922-1989); they didn't have children.

Descendants of Prince Heinrich XIII Reuss of Greiz

Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim of Johor died untimely in Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Baharu, on 5 December last year, exactly five months after his 24th birthday, after a year of a fight with four stage liver cancer.

He was born in Istana Besar, Johor Baharu (Malaysia) on 5 July 1990 as fourth child of the current Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail (b.1958) & his wife Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah (b.1959) {herself daughter of Sultan Idris Shah II of Perak (1924-1984) & his wife Raja Mazwin Raja Arif Shah}.

He left his parents and five siblings; he was single and childless.
