Freiin Marie-Adelaide von Freyberg-Eisenberg, nee Princess von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck died in Haldenwang on 31 January.

She was born in Rome on 17 May 1932 as fourth of six children and third daughter of Erwein, Prince von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck (1894-1970) & his wife Donna Maria Nives Ruffo dei Principi della Scaletta (1898-1971).

Her oldest son Philipp (b.1967) was officially adopted by her father and bears now the title of the Prince von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck; probably because her older brother Wolfram was killed in action in 1945, aged 20 and theyounger one Ferdinand (Prince von der Leyen und zu Hohengeroldseck after their father's death) died in 1971 reportedly unmarried.
All her three sisters are dead too, reportedly unmarried; Marie-Adelheid was the last survivng one of the siblings.
