Is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley any relation to the late Sir John Huntington-Whiteley? I remember reading a while back that Rosie came from an aristocratic background...

Google says, yes by the looks of it. Rosie’s father is current heir presumptive to the baronetcy that Sir John held. However it seems a complicated think.

Not complicated at all.

The first baronet Herbert Huntington-Whitely had two sons. His son Herbert who became the second baronet and a son Eric. Eric was Rosie’s great grandfather.

Herbert became the second baronet and had three sons. Sir John was the youngest of his three sons. The eldest brother didn’t outlive their father and John brother Hugo was the 3rd baronet but died childless. John became baron and though he had three children, only one son. His son is single and has no children meaning currently there is no male heir in the senior branch. Making it revert when the baron dies if he remains single, to the line of the first barons second son Eric. Rosie dad is the senior male in the line.

Sir Herbert Huntington-Whitley 1st Baronet (1857-1936) > Sir Herbert Maurice 2nd Baronet (1896-1975) > Sir John Miles 4th Baronet (1929-2019)

Sir Herbert Huntington-Whitley 1st Baronet (1857-1936) > Eric Arthur (1903-1972) > Nigel Charles (1931-2008) > Charles Andrew heir to the title (1957-. ) > Rosie Alice (1987-. )

I mean there’s no need to be rude, I personally found what you wrote very complicated to understand and make sense of.

Everyone’s different, I’d respect that.

Lady Victoria was also the last surviving godchild of Queen Victoria.

Lady Victoria's grandfather Arthur and the Queen Mums maternal grandfather Charles were brothers, grandsons of the 3rd Duke of Portland. Their father was a younger brother of the 4th Duke and uncle of the 5th Duke. The 5th Duke had no children or living brothers/nephews. The Queen mums grandfather was his elder uncle but was deceased and had no sons. So the title passed to Arthur's eldest son William, Victoria's father.
