Countess Ursula of Pappenheim died in the night of 5/6 January in Eichstätt.

She was born in Pappenheim on 9 April 1926 as a daughter of Count Ludwig of Pappneheim (1898-1960) the last male Governor of the Pappenheim line with whom the main line died out in 1960 & his first wife, Liutta Freiin von Ribaupierre (1900-1959).
Because her only brother Joachim-Ludwig, Viscount of Pappenheim died in the Second World War in 1944 (aged 21), she became the the heir to the ancient noble family of the Reich marshals and she continued the line with the marriage of Count Gert von der Recke (1921-1991)who took the name Count von der Recke-Vollmerstein-Count zu Pappenheim; their wedding took place in Pappenheim - the civil one on 16 April and the religious one on 18 April 1949.
From this marriage she had three daughters: Raily (b.1950), Iniga (b.1952) & Nicoline (DOB unknown); Iniga is married with Count Albrecht of Egloffstein, who now administrates the Pappemheimer possessions.
She is survived by her daughters and their families.

Prince Carlos Patrick Godehard of Hohenzollern died on 25 February after he fell from 21st floor of Hotel Intercontinental in Frankfurt am Main; apparently it was a suicide.

He was born on 4 December 1978 in Munich as firstborn child of late Prince Godehard-Friedrich of Hohenzollern (1939-2001) & his wife Heide, née Hansen (b.1943); he had one sister, Anna Corinna Dionne (b.19 August 1983; married to Roman Goldschmidt)
He was unmarried and childless; Hein Bruins says he was engaged to Salima Khatibi, but I don't know if it was still current.

Recently, the life of the grandson of Albrecht Prince of Hohenzollern was characterized by negative headlines: Prince Carlos got in 2014, a prison sentence in the prison Euskirchen in North Rhine -Westphalia, after he was convicted of fraud and convicted, and should actually come in the summer , As part of a detention leave the 39-year-old undertook a trip to Frankfurt am Main – his last, as it turned out.
Already in the past he had Problems with the Justiz. Prince Carlos founded his own advertising agency more than ten years ago and frequented the fine circles of high society. Unpaid bills, however, were doomed to the nobility who had trained at Schloss Salem: in 2011, Prince Carlos von Hohenzollern was given a four-month probationary sentence. The Hohenzollern prince got a prison sentence in 2014, after he was convicted of the fraud with fictional investment funds.
