Any hotel that allows a guest to run up that size bill needs a new business manager.

Apparantly she did the same after a $23 million shopping spree 2 years ago. Between this type of behavior and the fact that it has recently come to light that the #2 stockholder in Rupert Murdoch's empire is the Saudi royal family, I have lost what little respect I had for them at one point.

They live very expensive lives, at others' expense. It is a pity that wealth is so improportionately distributed.

I am sure she will be better off in the UK, rather than under the male tyranny in Saudi Arabia.

God, some of the comments on the article site is so heartless. The poor lady is in fear of losing her children and her life.

Sorry, but women do not get a fair shake in Saudi Arabia. Yes, families all over the world have problems. But, it would be ingenous, to think she could overcome the male dominated society. She sought Political Asylum.

You list your address in NJ, USA...my country. Here in America, women can drive, vote, travel, have university educations without permission from their family, and marry or divorce people of their own or different gender or religion, without being subject to Sharia law, or honor killings.

why you said we "don't get a fair shake" ??
just because they don't live in U.S?
Lady don't judgment to something you never know what it is just because you read something in news
also, this is not the right place to discuss that

about Sara, what you mean by male dominated society?
the subject just her brother want to steal her money

Women are not free individuals in Saudi Arabia. This is not assumption, it is fact. You don't have to live in the U.S., you can live almost anywhere in the world and have more autonomy. If you cannot drive, work, travel or even shop without an escort and some man's permission, you are not at liberty to live as an individual. As for Sara, she fled to take control of her life. Her problems are with her male relatives and she knows she doesn't stand a chance there.

With the power and resources of her family, I don't know that she is safe anywhere.
