would someone be able to succintly explain why the rise of the crown prince is being so controversial. i believe it has been labelled by media as strategic (when described positively), worrying (when negatively) or uncertain (when neutral). i understand that bypassing the current ruler is strange in itself, but what are the implications?

on one side, i hear about women being allowed to drive, which is a positive improvement. on the other, i hear about all those saudi royals 'kidnapped' in the ritz. who is salman supporting?

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman will visit Russia for next week’s opening of the World Cup soccer tournament, Russian news agencies report.

Interfax on June 8 quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as indicating the powerful crown prince will likely meet with President Vladimir Putin during his stay.
"We're expecting [his visit]," Peskov told Interfax.
Saudi Arabia will face Russia in Moscow on June 14 for the opening match of the World Cup, the globe’s most popular sporting event.
Saudi Arabia and Russia are both major oil-exporting countries and have been cooperating on output levels, first by reducing production to raise prices and recently to hike output to ease consumer worries over the higher prices.

Mr Pompeo and USA are glad to be deceived for $ 100 million "to stabilize areas in Syria liberated from the Islamic State". One can view the said money as the price tag of democratic values/principles.

I was referring to Jamal Khashoggi,the 15 strong killer team,the pathologist,oh..and the painters..Oh,and the top security person of Salman who all went on a " hunting trip" to Turkey as we've learned but ofcourse Sally knows next to nothing about it all....As they like us to believe.Sickening kid.If all the results of the investigation are open and Sally knew,we wouldn't wish to seriously have a thread of a murderer and glorify him here would we?Pompeo...oh well..hah..oil as usual....

The details of the "interrogation" of Jamal Kashoggi beggars belief...savagery so depraved it would not meet standards of decency for viewing at a Hollywood horror movie.:eek:

Saudi and Trump Administration apologists are already blaming the unfortunate victim for being a Charlie Hebdo type provocateur who should have known better, and the Washington Post for giving him a "platform".

I will never ever again be able to look at a photo of MBS or any of the other members of the SRF without a shudder.

But oh well...they DID wire over a $100 million dollars as promised, so that's very polite of them.

On the day of the murder there was a Skype connection with the office of Salman,plus,plus 4 phone calls were made from the Consulate in Istanbul to Salman's office during the torture and the murder....Nausiating bloody premeditated murder as President Erdogan calls it,and I think,hope to believe all.A double wearing Jamal's clothing.

Now body parts have been found in the garden of the residence of the cowardice Saudi consul...who fled Istanbul for the desert last week already...So,so sickening!...

This Crown Prince,Salman,nor his House should have a space on this Forum ever again.Oh,and I was sure I saw two replies after my post on this,I do hope it wasn't deleted under pressure was it?This is a situation that never before occurred with any member of any Royal House or what calls it that,and a special situation asks for special measures.Delete the House of Saud from this Forum please,it belongs in a medieval dungeon.Maybe it better takes care of the domestic protests and unemployment among over 50% of the youngsters in that land.

Meanwhile more and more participants of what is called the "Davos of the Desert ",the summit in Riaadh backed off.Good,for starters that is,now,find ways in a far faster mode to replace oil for different sources of energy and abandon oil ASAP!

I afraid that this reveal will not lead anywhere. Saudi court will deny such claim and eventually this ruthless guy will become king. And eventually whole world will forgot whole case. We westerners have allowed for Saudis too much only just because of their oil.
 
Well, sadly it's nothing new. Even if Saudi Arabia's CP admitted to the murder, what would change?
It's not the first nor the last political murder, there have been lots in the past, the CIA just one government agency that has even been caught taking out leaders of foreign countries for various reasons. Most Kennedy researchers see rogue elements of the CIA involved in the murder of their own president. I don't think the world has become more civilized at all, I am only surprised that Saudi Arabia got caught because if you want to take somebody out, you certainly don't do it like this.

Hear Hear Hear!!!They can deny what they like,no-one believes them as they have a tendency to lie through their teeth anyway..
They should be ousted from civilised institutions and organisations preferably,and Sally should be ignored now and certainly as King...if he gets there at all...So many unemployment among the youth of SA,and unrest it has to erupt some day soon I hope and give a fresh impuls to this daft as a brush backward & sneeky sort.
