With all due respect to him there probably aren't a lot of people in Serbia who would recognise him on sight and bother him.

And it clashes with what he says later as well:

So nobody bothers him because no one knows he's a Prince and he likes it that way but he deliberately uses his title for work because it makes him stand out. At least he's honest.

Well, this is partly true. Much more people in NY, London, Rome or Monte Carlo would know who he is than in Serbia...People in Serbia know only Crown Prince and Princess Elizabeth...the rest of the family members are not frequently featured in the newspapers in order to be either popular or recognized...

But, on the other hand, he never lived in Serbia and he is maybe making polite excuse why he doesn't live there...When you spend your whole life in one world, it's very hard to come to live in another world just because you are connected to it by it's historical title...nothing more.

Lovely picture of Stefan on a horse. The picture used by his grandfather seems rather old. And the whole story of his baptism jas little to do with him celebrating his 4th birthday.

Nonetheless, he seems the future of the monarchy as it doesn't seem likely that the hereditary prince is going to start a family any time soon.

The Editorial Board of The Diplomatic Bulletin awarded on 8 March Crown Princess Katherine with “Nadezda Petrovic” Medal of Honor in the field of Humanitarian Work, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day and the first edition of this magazine.

Interesting that the titular Crown Princess's traditional "Ladies' Lunch" has invited wives of officials alongside actual female officials as "distinguished ladies". That seems very old-fashioned to me, even for a family which follows male-only succession, but perhaps it's accepted in Serbia?

With all due respect to him there probably aren't a lot of people in Serbia who would recognise him on sight and bother him.

And it clashes with what he says later as well:

“A royal title is a birthright, so it follows you for your entire life,” Dimitri said. “And sometimes, it’s good to use it. I use it for my company, which is called ‘Prince Dimitri.’ It makes it easier for marketing. Certainly a few steps saved in having to work harder, let’s be honest.”

So nobody bothers him because no one knows he's a Prince and he likes it that way but he deliberately uses his title for work because it makes him stand out. At least he's honest.

And, based on the article, it seems he made the "birthright" comment to argue that he is entitled to the titles of the no longer existing monarchy ("While Yugoslavia and its monarchy no longer exist, descendants of the royal family are entitled to keep their titles, according to Dimitri."), which in his case does not make sense as an argument given that the monarchy ceased to exist long before his birth.

Last night the humanitarian organization Lifeline Hellas organized the charity show at the Pallas Theater in Athens for its 20 years of operation with the presence of CP Alexander and CP Katherine

Prince Filip with Princess Danica support the protest of the civic initiative "Let's clean Arandjelovac", which was held in front of the building of the Old Building in the park of Bukovicka Banja in Arandjelovac. The protest was initiated by a fire that engulfed the magnificent building of the Old Building, a symbol of Arandjelovac and the negligence of the authorities a few days ago, which brought it to its existing state.

Several members of the Serbian royal family attended Memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh in London:

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine

Prince Nikola and Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia, son and daughter of Prince Tomislav and his first wife Princess Margarita of Baden, niece of Prince Philip.

Prince Filip and Princess Danica shared a video with the following message:
"On April 3rd, we all voted together and exercised our civil rights. See you on Sunday!"

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb0UI2mlwLJ/

To be precise, they said:

"We are happy that we can vote in our country. Of course, on Sunday April 3rd, we all vote together and exercise our civil rights. Go out to the elections and vote!"

Is this a good idea: To vote?

I mean, they were Royals once, this family - and who knows? The future is inherently unknown...

Of course: The voting is secret. So, we will never know, how the former royal family voted... so, maybe this is not a real problem.

They have the right to vote and they use it, normal thing.

And in some countries voting is obligatory.

On World Health Day, 7 April, Crown Princess Katherine expresses her support to doctors and medical staff, emphasizing the importance of wellbeing. She is also appealing to everybody to take good care of their health and to cherish it as one of the greatest treasures we have.

Happy Easter from Prince Filip and fis family!

And the message for the Easter from the CP Alexander

Prince Filip as Hereditary Prince now:

"Immediately upon my return to Serbia with my new responsibilities I went to Oplenac with my family to pay respect to my ancestors."

Well, very complicated question, but in Serbia if you don't vote and promote that, it can be seen as sending more trickier political message than when you do your duty and vote secretly for whoever you want.

It would be other thing if they were reigning royals, as the situation regarding voting might be different, but they are citizens like everyone else and they try to keep that image.

Prince Filip and Princess Danica visited the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to congratulate the Archbishop of Belgrade and all the faithful celebrating the feast of the Resurrection of Christ.

The posts about Prince Peter renouncing his rights have been moved to a new thread, here.

I guess Philip and Danica truly need their own thread now.

Just want to make sure that one of the links that was shared in the thread about Peter's resignation as hereditary prince is not missed; as Philip gives a short summary of his life in the first 8 minutes, so definitely worthwhile to check out:

A very interesting phrase is also that he never believed in voting; as a child he already questioned why people voted... His mother was concerned about his questioning.

Prince Dimitri attended a gala evening in New York City in support of the Versailles Foundation yesterday, May 12:

"HRH Crown Prince Alexander has with great joy received news from his cousin HRH Prince Mihailo, that from today Royal family of Serbia is richer for another member. HRH Princess Ljubica gave birth in Narodni front Clinic to little Isidora Karadjordjevic.

“My wife, Crown Princess Katherine, and I wish all the happiness in the world to our dear Ljubica and Mihailo for the birth of their daughter, and Natalija for her little sister, and to our niece Isidora we wish much happiness, prosperity, and love, and to be the worthy bearer of our family name. It is not an easy task, but she has Karadjordje’s genes and I am sure she will be the pride of our family, our nation, and our country! Long live, in happiness, love, and joy!” said Crown Prince Alexander."

It is not clear to me yet TBH. The official website of the Serbian royal family uses 'Ph', which is why I have used the same spelling here. I would gladly change it if another spelling is correct:

https://royalfamily.org/royal-family/hrh-prince-philip/

Thank you for that. For example, on his official twitter account he is "Princ Filip", but again used Philip for English version:

https://twitter.com/princfilip1

I understand, as Philip is an anglicized version of Filip. :) and good thing is that it is pronounced it the same way in Serbian and in English.

Well, if they want him to be known like that, it's fine with me...sorry for mentioning.

The official website uses anglicized spellings for some but not all names in its English version (refer to the menu bar):
