I´m pretty amazed about the transition of Prcss Sofia. In the past months or so she changed her looks from a plump housewife to a royal person which is really fine! I guess she must have gotten advise from fashion or make up experts.

How smart of them to only invite the recipients of the awards and not a bunch of other people which would unnecessarily increase the risk :flowers:

And I am sure this isn't the only awards handed out ever... Moreover, the more awards awarded the lesser the importance (and attached recognition) of such award.

Seeing their blog, the Princess and her spouse also receive their guests as much as possible in open air or in an open pavillion, in the parks of Elisabeta Palace or Savarsin Castle. They take COVID serious, so to see.

I was right about Prince Radu sittting on such a small Chair !
I was wrong about the Price .
Marlene Eilers Koening from the Royal Musings received the Medal of the Loyalty to the Romanian Crown. The throne Room is now the National Museum of Art. It was followed by a branch for several international recipîents including her..
She wrote she received a certificate and a box which held the Medal.
Congratulations to her, well deserved !

At the invitation of the Governor of the National Bank, Academician Mugur Isărescu, Her Majesty Margareta participated in the Palace of the National Bank, on the evening of 25 October at the inauguration of the exhibition and the launch of the gold coin, both with the theme 100 years since the birth of King Mihai

Princess Elena is sporting a beautiful diamond and onyx broche, so to see.

We don't see Princess Elena 's second husband. Should he be ill ?

.

I think the lady with the onyx brooch is princess Sophie. And also princess Margareta is wearing a brooch, maybe onyx, too with diamond border that I haven't seen before.

I think the last time was in January 2020. In the Royal Athenaeum. Both Princess Elena and Alexander were quite overweight. Now the Princess has undergone a metamorphosis. Maybe Mr Alexander Nixon McAteer is also under a regime? Or maybe he is extra vulnerable for the Pandemic because of his health? No idea.

The Memorial Service is 2 weeks early as the king died on the 5th December 2017 but was nice to see them all together.

Another Royal Houses can learn a lot about the PR of the Romanians. They are quite accessible for (social) media. It is something which was started by Radu. Alteady in the early days of the internet he started a blog which was remarked because of the ongoing continuity, actuality and the many insider pictures.

Later this personal blog developed into Romania Regala. It really dragged the exiled royal family out of obscurity, to become one of the most visible former Royal Houses.

The Habsburgers, the Hohenzollerns, the Romanovs, the Orléans, they are far behind in their media strategy. Radu really has understood the signs of time, even though their media are now handled by a professional team.

On Saturday 26 March Princess Maria was at Isaccea Customs in Tulcea County, along with representatives of the Children in Difficulty Foundation.
