Today Nicolae, Alina Maria and her brother Mihai took part in Team Hospice in the Half Marathon in support of the charity organization Hospice Casa Sperantei, Nicolae has been cooperating for many years with Hospice.

And from the bib number Mihai has, we can find out that they run the half marathon as relay 7km + 7km + 7,1km.
And from the results we see that number R1732 "3 for Hospice" came 97th out of 456 teams. Not bad!

I wonder who funds glossy magazine spreads about the upcoming religious ceremony in Romania.
 
Lovely photos of Alina and Nicolae ahead of the religious wedding. I find it unusual that such photos are released in between the civil and religious wedding when they feel more like engagement photos. They look very happy together.

New information behind the scenes from the wedding of the year. The former prince Nicolae and Alina Binder have revealed everything
Nicolae Medforth Mills spoke for the first time about the wedding announced for this autumn with Alina-Maria Binder. There will be invited guests from 13 countries, but also, he hopes, members of royal families of Romania. The two told how the moment of marriage proposal was, and how she would look at the bridal gown.
Nicolae confessed that he chose Sinaia as a wedding venue because it is a city where both he and Alina feel at home. He spoke about the importance of the area for the royal family, but also about the memories he has in Sinaia. Here will come in the autumn the representatives of the royal houses of Europe and, if they will accept the invitation, members of the royal family of Romania.
The religious ceremony and the actual wedding would be organized according to the traditional Romanian model, say future husband. There will still be some minor changes for the guests, coming from different cultural environments, to feel good.
The love story between Nicholas and Alina began two years before the marriage proposal. And the latter followed the classic pattern: requesting the hand from the parents and then surprise her with the ring. The climax took place in Cornwall, UK, where Nicholas decided to organize a mysterious trip to surprise his girlfriend.

The couple revealed that Medforth-Mills proposed to Binder on a weekend break to Cornwall in southwest England. He wrote "I love you. Marry me" in the sand. He later gave her a diamond and sapphire engagement ring.
Medforth-Mills, 33, was disinherited by Michael in 2015 following reports he fathered a child outside of wedlock. He reconciled with the royal house before Michael's funeral last year. The communists forced Michael to abdicate in 1947.
Binder said she admired the way he quietly dealt with the disgrace.
Medforth-Mills is one of the most popular members of the Romanian royals, because of his down-to-earth manner and love of cycling.

What a lovely young couple they seem to be. I have been following them for a while now and hope for the very best for them and the country.
 
In September, the city of Sinaia will turn into a fairytale land with princes, princesses, beautiful dresses, elegant world. Prince Nicolae of Romania and his fiancé Alina Binder will unite their destinies in the little royal town at the foot of the mountains.
For the first time the two talked about how the wedding will look, whom they invited, but also how Nicolae gave her the engagement ring and how Alina perceived the first meeting with the Prince's family.
The nephew of King Mihai and his fiancé Alina will get married in Biserica Sfântul Ilie in Sinaia. "Then we will spend the party at Casino Sinaia. We want to use this opportunity to show what Romania has, because many guests have never been here. There are many guests, from Europe, Australia, USA, from 13 countries in total. Of course, every member of my family will also receive an invitation to the wedding. I hope they will come."
Asked why he chose Sinaia for his wedding, Nicolae said that this city is very close to his family. "Here, we feel very well like at home. My family has left a mark on this city. I am connected to this city because Carol I came and built here the Peleş-Pelişor Castles and my family helped to develop the city. "
As for the bridal dress, Alina said she would like "to find some traditional, subtle details. I would like to have a classic line and feel relaxed in it, that it represents me. I would like it to be created by a Romanian designer."
Alina and Nicolae have been a couple about three years, and in July they will celebrate the first anniversary of their engagement.
"Our relationship has evolved. I've come to a point in my life when I felt ready to take the next step. Of course, I started with Alina's parents. I sat down with them and asked for Alina's hand. They said yes. It was the biggest challenge."
Alina says that marriage proposal "was a total surprise. I was in the office when he called me: "Why don't we go somewhere after you finish the job?" I did not know where we were going. It was incredible when I arrived in Cornwall, a special place for both, which he showed me at the very beginning when we moved to England".
Nicolae adds: "In the morning, I went to the beach, with a bottle of champagne. And as Alina watched the sunrise, I wrote on the sand, "I love you! Marry me!", I went down on my knees and gave her the ring."
And the story of the engagement ring is just as beautiful: "The ring is tied to earrings. When Alina turned 29, I gave her earrings. When I was in Sri Lanka, I bought the stones, then I made the earrings. When I chose the ring, I wanted to have a stone like at the earrings, a sapphire. And I made a ring with three stones: two diamonds and a sapphire", Nicolae confessed.
About the encounter with the Alina's family, he confessed that he had some emotions: "But I was welcomed with open arms, very friendly, relaxed. From the first day we got along well. Alina is very lucky to have a very united family."
Alina met Nicolae's family before she got married. "It was exciting, but I can't say I have spent a lot of time with his family."
The two of them say that when they saw for the first time, they understood each other perfectly, having a common passion.
"I like that he is spontaneous, courageous, has traveled to distant, wild areas, gave me the impression that he can handle it in any circumstances, he is a modest man, not at all arrogant. I was very impressed by the fact that in 2015, after his title was withdrawn, he chose to suffer in silence, not to make a case of his situation."
Nicolae tells that Alina is "a courageous person, who likes sport, smart, beautiful. We understood each other without much effort. That was important to me. Alina became my rock, after what happened in 2015 with the withdrawal of the prince title".

Despite the removal of his Princely style and title Nicolae and Alina Maria still have a high enough profile and activities.
 
Nicolae has been named as the Honorary Ambassador of Transylvania Basketball Tournament 2018.

On Saturday, Nicolae and Alina Maria told at a wine tasting about their wedding, that they will choose 4 types to suit perfectly Romanian dishes, and the bridal dress will have traditional details. There will be 250 guests at the wedding.
Alina Maria and Nicolae: "Harry and Meghan are a symbol for the young people and the future of England in the end. It’s a wedding without obligations and they have the freedom to choose who they invited, they have close friends and acquaintances. We are very happy for them! We wish them a lot of happiness and we are excited for them as we will go through the same moment in the next few months."
Nicolae and Alina Maria confessed that they had watched the ceremony extremely emotionally since their own wedding is so close.
Nicolae: "We invited friends from all over the world and royal families. The closest are the Princes of Albania and France".
The bride will be surrounded by 3 or 4 maids of honor, all close friends, and the party will be held at the famous Sinaia Casino.

As for the wedding dress, Alina Maria has opted for a simple, white dress with a long veil created by a Roman designer.
Alina Maria: "There are subtle details, I want to find some traditional elements, but it will be a classic dress."
King Mihai's grandson will wear a stylish classic suit and has it ready.
Nicolae: "I already have the suit, but I’m thinking of making a new one. I have one more elegant with bow tie and tails and more specific".

At the wine festival, Ro Wine, the two have tasted several varieties and say that at the wedding, the wine will be Romanian one, to fit the traditional dishes in the menu.
Nicolae and Alina Maria: "Everything will have a connection with Romania, if it is wine or dress or music or food".
Nicolae: "The wines must be very well connected with food. There will be Romanian food, of course, probably stuffed cabbage rolls. We have talked a little about it".
The whole menu is carefully prepared by the team specially chosen by the bride.
After the wedding, the two will leave to the honeymoon, but they have not yet decided the destination.

On 21st May Nicolae and Alina Maria attended concert at the Royal Athenaeum Ateneum, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Unification and the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Great Fresco at the Athenaeum.

Nicolae was also this morning in a light crash with his car. He comments in his Facebook
"The road accident mentioned this morning in the press was a minor one and it consisted of a very slight touch of the car in front of me. As a result, we have agreed with the other driver to draw up an amicable agreement between the parties and so the incident was concluded in a diplomatic manner."

Loredana Dinu is a retired Romanian épée fencer, twice World champion and twice European champion with Romania, who won also Olympic Gold in Teams nin 2016.

On the first day of Pentecost I attended, along with Alina-Maria de Roumanie, the Pentecostal service at Biserica Sfântul Gheorghe Nou (New St. George Church). After 26 years, I went back and met Father Bogdan, then the parish priest of the Brancovan Church. Twenty-six years ago, I participated in the Holy Easter service, the resurrection, along with my grandparents, King Mihai I and Queen Ana.

Nicolae and Alina Maria were at Bookfest International Book Fair today. Nicolae was interviewed and he talked about their wedding and the life after that. He said that after the wedding they will continue what they have started, be involved in things about children's education, the future, the environment.

When Nicolae and Alina Maria visited Pecica, the press wrote that now Nicolae speaks very good Romanian.
 
I´m not romanian, but when I hear him speak it sounds as if he had a (slight?) english accent. Is this the case?!

Prince Nicolae, grandson of King Mihai, was present yesterday in Pitesti on the occasion of the feast dedicated to the Holy Trinity at Trivale Monastery. His Holiness Archbishop Calinic, together with a summit of priests and deacons, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Summer Shrine.

Former Prince Nicolae says he has many guests at his weddingand needs to find solutions for the transportation and accommodation of guests in Sinaia, especially since many come from abroad. Although excluded from the Royal House and on the succession line, he wants to have the Royal Family members present on the most important day.
- We are very relaxed at the moment, but I'm sure when the day is closer, then I'm sure we'll have much greater emotions. Every day we establish something new, and of course it is a great challenge to logistics, for example, for those from abroad. But we are just waiting for the moment. We do not have all the confirmations, but we have a great number.

"Today, my thoughts turn to my grandparents, especially to my grandfather. My grandfather and grandmother are the ones who have been and will be my only true models in this life. Reminding me of my grandmother, Queen Ana, I remember the gentlenes, but also the assumption with which she did everything. My grandfather, however, King Mihai I, was a brave man, a true leader, and he will remain one of the most important pillars on which our world is based, for Romanians here and everywhere. What I wish is that I personally, I can honor their memory not only by words, but also through daily acts.

Nicolae was on Friday in Cluj-Napoca, he took part in a workshop for Romanian Entrepreneurs, it was part of Ratiu Friends and Family Weekend 2018, organized by the Ratiu Foundation and the Ratiu Center for Democracy. The Ratiu Family is one of the oldest noble families in Transylvania. The name of the event was "Old Crafts| New Forms", and according to the program, Nicolae gave introductory remarks at a panel discussion with young Romanian designers on the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs in liberal arts.

Former Prince Nicolae wants Princess Margareta to their wedding: "It would be an honor for us"
Former Prince Nicolae, grandson of King Mihai, wants his aunt Margareta, the Custodian of the Crown, and his uncle to be to the wedding that will take place in September. Nicolae said on Monday in Alba Iulia that he sent a letter to his aunt in this respect.
Nicolae visited on Monday Catedrala Reîntregirii Neamului (Coronation Cathedral) in Alba Iulia, in which King Ferdinand and Maria were crowned.
"I am very excited, I think very much about my family, especially this year, not only because it is the Centenary Year, but because I will marry this year and think about them and everything they did for our country. My grandfather was a special man, a true symbol, a true example for us and especially for young people. He has always taken the best decision", Nicolae said.
Referring to the wedding preparations, Nicolae said that every week they set up something new. "In fact, last week I wrote a letter to my aunt, Princess Margareta, I asked if she ... it would be an honor, in fact, to be my godmother and my uncle to be our godfather at the wedding. And I'm waiting for an answer now."
Asked also whether he is optimistic about accepting the invitation, Nicolae replied that he hoped that this would happen and it would be a great honor, saying they would be very happy if the whole family would attend. The former prince said that friends from around 13 countries will come, as well as ambassadors, diplomatic staff and royal families.
Nicolae said he still has no emotions about the wedding, but he is sure to be more excited in September.
"Anyway, it's a very happy moment for us and we can not wait to celebrate with our family and friends".
Asked by journalists about the dress of the bride, he replied that he did not really know the details or even wanted to know, desiring it to be a surprise.
