Nicolae and Alina-Maria's visit to Librăria Karma Calafat was part of their visit to Calafat and Craiova on 13th and 14th May.

Prince Nicolae visits Craiova
For two days, Prince Nicolae was on a visit to Bania. On the first day, Prince Nicolae visited the city of Calafat and the next day he was present in Craiova.
In Calafat, Prince Nicolae visited School no. 2, the History Museum, St. Nicholas Church, Karma Calafat Bookstore and laid wreath at the Independence Monument in Calafat.
Today in Craiova, the visit of Prince Nicolae had several moments full of emotion.
The first stop of Prince Nicolae was the Art Museum. Prince Nicolae made a tour of the Museum and was impressed by several works, especially those of Constantin Brancusi. At the end of the visit to the Art Museum, Prince Nicolae stayed for a few minutes in the Mirror Hall. King Mihai visited the Mirror Room many years ago, His Majesty was on a visit to Craiova.
At 11:00, Prince Nicolae laid flowers at King Michael's Statue at the University of Craiova.
At 11:30, Prince Nicolae visited the Arhi Design stationery. Here Prince Nicolae has seen all the stages of the paper and some of the old machinery that works impeccably now. Prince Nicholas saw all the production of a notebook and other stationery products.
At 15:00, Prince Nicolae visited the Chester Time Sofa Factory.

Alina-Maria gave today the opening speech at Ratiu Center for Democracy's New Edition in Ratiu Dialogues on Democracy at Muzeul Etnografic Cluj. The Rațiu Dialogues on Democracy are organized in Cluj-Napoca on 19-22 May.
"Old Jobs New Form: Wool & Stitches", a panel discussion with young Romanian designers and creative entrepreneurs.
And Nicolae was of course there too.

The Ratiu Family are Nicolae and Alina-Maria's friends, they were guests at their wedding. Nicolae attended at this event also last year, then it was called The Ratiu Family and Friends Weekend. The Ratiu Family is one of the oldest noble families in Transylvania.

Prince Nicolae and his wife, surprise visit to the exhibition of Romina Semprini, a young artist from Alba Iulia
Prince Nicolae and his wife visited Alba Iulia to make a surprise to a young artist. It's Romina Semprini, a 14-year-old teenager who exposed her paintings at the Union Museum in Alba Iulia on Tuesday, May 21st.
Nicolae was due to arrive in Sibiu, and when she learned that the young artist was going to vernise her first exhibition, he wanted to make her a surprise and made a short stop in Alba Iulia.
Nicolae, together with his wife, admired Romina's paintings and each of them took pictures of their favorite paintings.
The paintings of Romina were exhibited at the Union Museum in Alba Iuia, where they could be admired throughout May.
Prince Nicolae met Romina a year ago when he visited the Secondary School Avram Iancu in Alba Iulia, where the young woman is a student. Then she gave the prince a portrait of his grandfather, King Michael.
Nicolae was impressed by the talent of teenage girl, especially since Romina has no training in the field of art.

Nicolae posted today two photos to his social media
April 6, 1877, on the Romanian bank of the Danube in Calafat, the first shot waspulled by Romanian battery. On May 15, 1886, Carol I, the first king of Romania, visited the small port to lay the foundation stone of a monument in memory of the Independence War of Romania.
I had the joy with my wife, Alina-Maria de Roumanie, to visit Calafat and lay flowers to pay tribute to the Romanian soldiers who fought for Independence. Then at the "Constantin Gerota" Gymnasium, Calafat students greeted us and talked about the monarchy and the future of Romania. We planted a tree together in the yard of the school, a symbol of education, cooperation and sustainable development.

On a visit to Craiova I laid flowers at the statue of the last crown king of Romania - my grandfather, King Mihai. Solemn homage but also remembrance of dear memories from childhood.

"We traveled these days with students of Secondary School" Diaconu Coresi the sacred places of our national history, the Royal Courts of Musatin where we have came across people and recipients, seemingly detached from paintings Agapia and Varatec. On the last day of our trip, at breakfast, he simply dropped by, a young man with a very popular face, Nicolae al Romaniei. I was amazed by the simplicity and naturalness of accepting a meeting with students, without having been previously prepared. It was so cute! He spoke so simple and understandable, slightly shy himself, then he agreed to capture the moment in some photos. We parted with princely promise that we will visit and we will honor an upcoming project "Childhood Books" as it did before, cycling 1000 km in the "Childhood Books with bicycling" ..... says prof. Nicolae at his Facebook today
I spent a weekend blessed by the presence of Pope Francis in Romania. Together with Alina-Maria de Roumanie, I participated in the Divine Liturgy at St. Joseph's Catholic Cathedral in Bucharest, and on 2 June I was present on the Liberty Plain in Blaj, where the Holy Father officiated the beatification service of the seven bishops Greek-Catholics who died in communist prisons. There were exciting moments, joy and inspiration. Pope Francis's messages of unity, love and fraternity must guide us to be better and to do more together for Romania. This visit drew near and gave us unique moments of joy and hope.

Nicolae and Alina-Maria attended on Wednesday 5th June Edelweiss Ball, organized by Hospice Casa Sperantei.
More than 300 guests were present Wednesday evening at the Edelweiss Ball 2019, the most important charity event of the year organized by Hospice Casa Sperantei. Almost 300,000 euros were collected in the charity event, the amount by which Hospice Casa Sperantei will be able to resume free palliative care services at home for all of Bucharest.

Probably just someone who wanted to have photos with Nicolae. There are a lot of photos of people with Nicolae and Alina-Maria at the social media, they are popular.

The Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse (Ziua Iei) is celebrated today June 24 all around the world. On this day, Romanians and those who love and appreciate Romania and its culture, are asked to wear a traditional Romanian blouse or shirt.

Nicolae and Alina-Maria attend Câmpulung Film Fest (21-25 August) also this year.
On 21st August:
Câmpulung Film Fest continues this year's mission to take the film closer to viewers, to promote cinema as a means of recreation and education. In the last two editions the Bodea neighborhood was the host of open air projections, this year we take the big screen in the Stadion district, right in the parking lot in front of the newly renovated sports facilities.
We are especially pleased to have for the second year in a row Nicolae al României, the grandson of King Mihai and his wife Alina Maria de Roumanie, who will present to the audience an exceptional documentary about the great grandmother of Nicholas: Maria - Inima României (Maria - Heart of Romania).
Together with them, we will have Dan Draghicescu, the producer associated with the film to answer the questions of the public.
Maria - Inima României will tell the story of the important political role, but also of the interesting private life of Queen Maria of Romania.
Maria, inima României_ - proiecție în aer liber în Cartierul Stadion!
