Were they real national orders or just decorations of the former reigning family?

It is very beautiful the young Karina of Romania takes part at these events. She is the fourth in the Line of Succession.

When the Royal Family travels internationally, how do they travel- do they have access to a private plane?

I cannot imagine that they'd take Ryanair or a regular airline in coach at least.

Is Savarsin Castle where the royal family always spend Christmas? It looks like a very beautiful setting, especially at this time of the year.

:previous:

The Savarsin castle was returned to the Romanian Royal Family in 2001 and is now their private property.
Since then, they have spent Christmas there every year.

HM the Queen does not feel very well and HRH the Crown Princess is with Her in Switzerland:

We must pray for the health of our pious catholic Queen.

I didn't know that HM suffered of cancer. However, as it was mentioned in the Royal Musings blog entry, according to press reports she has been now hospitalized for a sprained ankle, so hopefully HM will quickly recover.

The Royal Family has never spoken about cancer regarding HM the Queen.

As royal households themselves do not frequently make such announcements, it is not surprising that the news was disseminated through another channel.

HM the King lived in this villa for a period of time in the autumn of 1944:

I'm glad to hear that; I know she has been in poor health in the last years, but it's a great news that she isn't suffering of cancer.

Thank you for the correction, Marlene!
