Everyone who has posted, saying it is impossible to find a photo of her is right. I searched--and nothing. As she attends public events and is out in public at times, is this a government policy--in other words, if a photographer were to try and take a photo, would they be in serious trouble?

Before being a goverment Policy its a family policy....and culture....
and the events where sheikha hind attends no photographers are allowed ... no mobiles with cameras are allowed and all photographers are not allowed in before the ceremony with a few hours. If a photographer takes a picture and they see him ...simply they will take the film out

Often women in published photographs are not identified, Sheikha Hind‘s photograph may have been published without reference to her identity. There is one woman that has appeared often in some pics of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and his daughters that is unidentified.

Sheikha Hind’s appearances are considered private, events that are not open to the public. She attends functions where there is an invited or an exclusive group of people. She is more the norm rather than an exception, being of the generation of women that values modesty and in which women have been protected from the lustful gaze of men.

These women are very wise to remain out of public view, considering the constant bombardment by the media as to how a woman should look and dress testifies to this. The focus remains on her works rather than her appearance, and her works for the good of her family and others is impressive.

Sheikha Hind most often will offer praise to Sheikha Fatima and in many ways emulates her mannerisms.

The following link about the First Lady/ Mother of the Nation (Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak) will shed some light on the issue of her photograph not being published; she refers to it as “the necessary reserves of a sheikha“. Sheikha Fatima is also quoted as saying “…the veil is but a feature of those traditions that we must respect…”

http://www.sheikh-zayed.info/first.asp

Not all women like being photographed. The reactions to being photographed are mixed as evident by the body language especially in group photos. Many of the ladies will turn away from the camera or in some way obstruct views of their faces. Other ladies will openly smile into the camera and with obvious pleasure.

It is considered offensive to photograph Muslim women without their consent.

I think this is the woman you're referring to. She's the chief marketing officer of the DSF and is often spotted with his kids and him during the shopping festivals but this is not Sheikha Hind. Her name is Laila Suhail. Here's an interview with her: http://www.khaleejtimes.com/Displaya...january157.xml

LOL, Lala, Oh my goodness no, this is not the woman at all! She is much too young (even though that is a very old photo) and that would be much too obvious.

My bad! Do you have any pictures of the woman you were talking about or do you know where I can find them? I really want to see who that woman is because if it's not Laila, then I have no clue whom you were referring to.

La la, no problem. The photos are not in any one place, they were taken over time here and there, and are large, the attachments will not accept. Maybe it is for the best as it would be hypocritical of me to post the photos, it would only fuel more speculation. In the future when and if I see this lady, I will send you a PM.

Sheikha Hind Does Address the public at times and at times others address it on her behalf, she has has several ceremonies at the Palace where she addressed them her self....and they were unwitten speaches she addressed them confidently and straight from the heart.....But at times outside her palace...on stages she has someone who addresses her speaches....
but when she is on her seat she talks to peole addresses them in an informal way where it has a nice and effective inpact on them....
Many sheikhas don't address their Own Speach Like Sheikha Fatam Bint Mubarak Sh. Zayed's wife....
Anyway she addresses speaches or she doesn't people Love her anyway....

Thank u dear for answering:) But i still found it difficult to understand, there is a person who writes speeches for her, there is a person who reads foh her(exept those few speeches in the Palace),is it too much effort for Hind to read something that is already written for her by the other person?

sheikha Hind's work has more depth and effect to the community she Has sooooooooooooooo much charity wrok....helps alot if people out.....
so reading a speach is not an issue.....
what she does for UAE women and UAE coomunity is much more than reading a speach....
and people are happy with what she does....
other than others who read speaches and come out in media just for the sake of showing off

anastasija, Hon, your interest in the subject of Sheikha Hind is quite flattering. If all women could have the pleasure of hearing and witnessing an event where any of the sheikhas were present they would be impressed and inspired, unless of course, they failed to comprehend the message or the perspective.

It is advisable for anyone speaking in a public forum with the intention of delivering a very important message or point of view to a diverse audience to have assistance with their presentations. The average professional person addressing a crowd will often turn to a trusted friend, co-worker or spouse to critique what they plan to say to any group of people. Input from others is not unusual at all, if the speaker wants to be clear and concise. Public personalities who do not use the assistance of others will often say something biased or misunderstood by the persons they are speaking to and are often easily and unintentionally offensive. Sheikh Hind utilizes the same professional assistance common to world leaders, presidents, CEOs and others in the public and private arena, this is only one small suggestion of her humbleness.

Most often when others are speaking on behalf of Sheikha Hind it is one of her daughters or nieces. These young ladies that so proudly deliver messages from Sheikha Hind are themselves being groomed to one day take on the role of those women such as Sheikha Hind and Sheikha Fatima. Quite simply, their mothers and grandmothers are passing the torch so to speak and it begins with representing them at important functions. The only effort is checking ones ego at the door and being able to delegate to the next generation of intelligent sheikhas.

One day the sheikhas that are speaking on behalf of Sheikha Hind and Sheikha Fatima will introduce their daughters and nieces via delivering speeches on their behalf.

It is a privilege and an honor to speak on behalf of someone that is so loved and respected in their community no matter where they reside or whom they are; sheikha or otherwise.

DWC honours Hind

At a ceremony held by the Dubai Women's College (DWC) yesterday, an award was presented to Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for her contributions to and support for the DWC.

Sheikha Hind’s sons Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum accepted the award on her behalf.

Wow, you saw her? Everyone has been saying that there aren't any photos of her, and this is why there aren't any posted in any of her threads.
