may be its will be strange for you when you will know that he died in 1990 and his age was 94.
I know who is in the picture and when he died,i meant that i was thinking who did this; him or his father..

this happened before 1947?

when I read your postings I thought amnesty international will know if it is true and if they do not they would be interested but now.........

I am sure there are some horrific stories of all royal families in the world if you go far back enough, perhaps centuries, but what good does it do to post them?
Susan Alicia,
even if it happened long ago it`s still very interesting to know their history.

First time I have attempted to post pics, hope it works. Women from Zayed University in Abu Dhabi were honored by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.

LaLa, Thank you for your link as well. Each state of the UAE is slightly different in its rulings and ideas about marriage of local women to foreign husbands, there are exceptions. I recently read about such a marriage in Abu Dhabi in that regard but can not recall the details; it really does not seem to be a huge problem. I doubt that there are any internal records that would be made public in this matter. The open discussions about marriage and family in the UAE are simply proactive.

Marrying foreign women is of great concern for several reasons, family law is governed by Shari’a law and that is very important. Often the foreign woman may not fully understand family law and its impact.

There is something very positive to be said for wanting to maintain a strong sense of family and its precious bonds.

I hate to say this and no mean to be offensive nor rude at all, but I feel sorry for these women who are dressed in all black in such hot countries..

really why is it that men wear all white and women wear all black? It should be reversed!!! Women look prettier in black and men look more masculine in black! They should change the custom!

Surely you jest. No need to feel sorry for anyone, men or women anywhere in the world, no matter their style or color of clothing. Rather than focus on the physical aspects of a person it is always wiser to turn the focus inside. Actually, it's quite simple; just as you would teach a child to accept the physical choices of others as you would wish them to do towards you.

Donna Karan, clothing designer known worldwide has designed her collections primarily in black clothing for many years. Women in fashionable New York City wear mainly black clothing year round, it is not a crime.

ywah. i love to wear black. whenever i go shopping i have to get something black epsepcially a nice black top. I think i will get a little black dress the next time i go shopping...

HM King Mohammed VI sends message to crown prince of Abu Dhabi:

Abu Dhabi, May 30 - Cheikh Mohamed Ben Zayed Al Nahyane, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy-supreme chief of the royal armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, received this Monday a written message from HM King Mohammed VI.

The royal message was handed by Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi, envoy of the sovereign, reports the Emirates TV channel.

According to the source, the message "deals with brotherly relations between the two sister countries and fields of cooperation and means to develop them".

The TV also reports that the royal envoy conveyed during the audience the king’s greetings to the UAE president, Cheikh Khalifa Ben Zayed Al Nahyane, and best wishes of progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE.

The crown prince of Abu Dhabi also asked the Royal envoy to extend "greetings and esteem" to the Moroccan king and best wishes of progress and prosperity to the Moroccan people.

PS: i put this article in Dubai royals' thread since there's no thread about Abu Dhabi royals.
