Crown Prince Of Dubai
Hello I am new here and I am confused when it comes to Prince Hamdan. If he is the second oldest son then why is he crown prince? I thought that the oldest son would deserve that tittle so why did Prince Hamdan get that tittle instead?

First, Welcome to the Forums!!!
Second, in the UAE royal culture (maybe in all muslims royal families) being the first born doesnt mean that you´ll be the Cronw Prince, this spot is reserve for the one who has the aptitude for the job, its an important job, also its been said that Sheikh Rashid didnt have a interest in politics; so Sheikh Mohammed pick Sheikh Hamdan cuz he is truly commited to work for Dubais develoment and their other interests
