Prince Daniel and several others have invested millions in a luxurious hotel and villa complex in Brazil.
After four years of waiting, the project has now been approved by the local authorities, according to Dagens Industri.
- There is a building permit now, Alessandro Catenacci, who began at venture, told to the newspaper.
The luxurious complex, which will house hotels and villas, in the Brazilian Atlantic coast should have begun in 2008, but was delayed considerably by the Brazilian bureaucracy.
Among the partners are several well known people, Prince Daniel, H & M's CEO Karl-Johan Persson and ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus, all invested millions. Star chef Alessandro Catenacci, which owns Operakällaren in Stockholm, was the one that began at the project.

Since Daniel is still in the project, I think that he has the approval from the king. When Daniel went to the business, the swedish press wrote that the king and the queen were very pleased with it. He resigned from the board of this project before the wedding.
Daniel owns seven percent of the shares, he got over 90 000 euros as dividend in February 2010.

Dagens Industri's (a more serious business newspaper) article about the same thing:
Brasil Development, which is partly owned by Prince Daniel has got it's long-awaited permission to build. Local plan is approved.
Alessandro Catenacci says that they have changed their plans, there will not be a golf course built to the area.
- It does not really fit into the concept. We want something more earthy and rustic.
Catenacci and the share holders will not themselves build the planned luxury villas. Instead they cut plots and buyers will be responsible for building their houses. According to the latest annual report, it may be up to 130 homes. However, there are plans to build hotels there.
