Victoria sure is dedicated.She is almost 9 months along and is still working!
 
Victoria certainly deserves to go on maternity leave! :flowers: Does anyone know how long Victoria's planned maternity leave will be?

The court hasn´t given any news about the length of Victoria´s maternity leave, and Daniel´s paternity leave (he told in the autumn at the visit to Turku to a finnish minister, that of course he is going to have a paternity leave). Victoria has still one work event at her calendar, the farewell visit of the finnish president, Tarja Halonen on the 21st February.

I agree that CP Victroria is working especially hard, I would have thought she would be on maternity leave from royal duties by now.
 
The reporter of finnish MTV3, Kari Lumikero, tells that the meeting between president Halonen and the swedish royal family was very warm. All the members of the royal family hugged president Halonen. From the royal family attended the king, the queen, crown princess Victoria, prince Daniel and princess Christina. President Halonen seemed to be very radiant and in a good mood and crown princess Victoria was very representative at her dark maternity dress.

President Halonen told to the reporter of finnish MTV3, that she gave some Moomin-stuff as a gift to Victoria and Daniel (The Head of Press Relations of president Halonen told to the media, that Halonen gave V and D six Moomin mugs and a Moomin set of dishes for children). To the king, queen and princess Christina Halonen gave finnish art glass.
Halonen describes the royal family waiting for the baby as warm and relaxed.
- It was just like any other family where to the mother's side is expected the first grandchild. For Daniel's parents, it is not exactly a new thing, they are already grandparents. Older ladies reminisced on their own. Victoria seemed very calm and relaxed, Halonen said.

Wow beautiful picture at royal family and President Halonen! Princess Christina and husband Tord Magnusson was present. Princess Christina is beautiful dress and happy meeting President Halonen! Princess Christina and husband Tord is much near relatives at King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Victoria and Daniel!!!

As I told already a few messages back:
Both queen Silvia and crown princess Victoria are wearing the same brooch. The brooch is designed by president Halonen. She gave one to the queen at a state visit to Finland in 2003 and one to Victoria at hers and Daniel´s visit to Finland in 2010. These brooches are only made a few and president Halonen has given them to some guests close to her. President Halonen has of course this brooch too.
Here is a close up of the brooch. According to the Head of Press Relations of president Halonen, the brooch is made ​​from a thin gold wire, and it has gem embellishments.

President Halonen told yesterday to the finnish media at a press conference after the lunch, that she was very delighted about that the queen and the crown princess wore the brooches.

Wonderful gesture -- the brooch as well as both woman wearing them.

This was the last official appointment of CP Victoria .... now she can rest and hopefully get some sleep before her biggest "adventure" will start any day now :)

The royal family needs more money to it´s functions. The King wants 12 million SEK extra for inflation adjustments in the next three years, according to the budget documents the royal court now submitted to the Finance Ministry.

:previous: Well Prince Daniel must be good if he is costing the royal firm more money than is comfortable to do his "Job", so I am guessing he has become a very popular addition to the family. :D

I think his media brief after the birth of Estelle really showed how comfortable he is in his own skin and how well he has adapted to royal life. I'll bet he got lots of requests for engagements after that little side show. :cool:

Finnish MTV tells about the lunch and story in Expressen. Carl Philip, Sofia and Madeleine had lunch in restaurant Riche, Madeleine´s favourite restaurant. They were there for two hours and Madeleine and Sofia seemed to have a lot to talk about. When they left the restaurant, Madeleine said that "they had had a really nice time, really".

It seems to me that there has been a serious family meeting about all the negative comments and media reports (also from the rift between Madeleine and Sofia), and they have decided that something has to be done.
