I am at a loss on why people expect Daniel to have a full calendar of solo royal engagements. He has only been a member of the SRF for what....nine months? Surely there is an adjustment time allowed for newbies?

You're right. Solo engagements would not be expected, but many were surprised he did not accompany CPVictoria on her engagements. He just sort of disappeared. Of course we now know he was studying. I'm sure it will be quite a while before he does a lot of solos. The one he has already done, and the one coming up make sense to me. He was a successful businessman and the visits pertain to business.

Really? I've never heard that and that's a shocker to me, as I'm pretty sure my Family and I would have been told that.

I was told by a cousin who is as a surgeon specialized in kidney transplant and treatments that due to the fact that the kidneys and their environment are responsible for regulating a lot of hormones, especially those dealing with stress, it is very important to be careful for the first years after the transplant. Only than that part of the medication can be reduced which as a side effect influences the sperm quality....

While true about regulating hormones, many people do just fine w/only one kidney. In fact, you only need one kidney that works to live. As for being careful for the first few years, we were told that only for the first year I needed to be watched more closely, but after that as things settled, I'd only need Monthly Blood Work and seeing my Specialist every three months.

Sure you need to watch for things like the cold and the flu, but that goes for everyone else too. So long as you're following what you're told to do w/sticking to the antirejection meds regimen, there shouldn't be too much to worry about. At least in my experience.

If this is so, then I guess the media knows about it but keeps quiet and in my opinion we should do so as well.:flowers:

First you're telling us to keep in mind Daniel's a Transplant Recipient and in the next paragraph, to just put it aside? Why? I actually do think it's a pretty legitimate thing to keep in mind when it comes to what Daniel does. I actually have been wondering if the reason we haven't seen too much of him lately is due to an adjustment to his Antirejection Meds.

If he's on Predinsone, and I imagine he is as it's one of the "biggies" when it comes to Antirejection Drug "cocktails", any adjustment to it is not a pretty thing. The last time it was lowered w/me, the two weeks it took my body to catch up and settle down was literally Hell. What made things worse was my Doctor decided to do this the same week as my College Mid Terms. Not. Fun.

He's now what? Three years out from his Transplant? I'm sure they need to take his health into consideration when figuring things out, but for a stretch of this long, it wouldn't surprise me it was due more to a Meds Adjustment.

I think he's nearly 2 years from his transplant. He had it a few weeks after they announced the engagement.
 
I read somewhat that Daniel doesn't speak very good English...obviously he knows English if he's London. Are there any videos of his visit to England?

Many Swedes speak excellent English so maybe by comparison, Daniel doesn't speak completely perfect English. It doesn't mean his english isn't good. I thought his wedding speech was just fine.
 
I though it was posted somewhere, that the prince school included also English lessons and that he might have taken some even before that. But as Esmeralda said, his English at the wedding was just fine. You don't have to 100% perfect even when going to England and I assume most of the program was in Swedish anyways.

No Ladyfinn. The first is not correct translated.

It is not Här firar prins Daniel AIKs förnedring but should surley say something like Här firar .......... AIKs seger.

Förnedring aka humiliation

AIK came into the playoffs as the 8th and last team and was choosen by the nr 1 team HV 71. The series ended 4-0 to AIK.

My question is wether royals should be neutrals when it comes to national sport or not

Can he not attend events on his own? People were complaining not long ago that he didn't have any solo engagements.
 
Oh yes he can attend events on his own. I'm not saying that, but I hope they plan a trip to the US together. Both of them in California would be very nice.

I don't understand what this has to do with California or US, the conference will be in Stockholm.

I think CrownPrincess just meant shed like Victoria and Daniel to plan a joint trip to US sometime and specifically CA....or at least that's how I read what she wrote

Okay got it. Thanks for telling me that cause I was thinking it was in Penn. It has nothing to do with it...I would just like to see them over here:)

MRSJ explained it better:) I see on the calendar that Madeleine is coming to CA but it would be wonderful if Victoria and Daniel planned a trip here. I hope they do one day.
