Thoughts on Sofia's wedding tiara?

It would be a different choice for a wedding... but I'd love to see her in the amethyst tiara. It would look so striking on her dark hair, and I think it would look AMAZING with a white dress- very much a statement piece.

I think, she will get a new tiara and this will be the gift from King and Queen.
No Cameo (Queens & CPs), no Laurel Wreath (Vics possession), no Modern Fringe (Maddes possession), so there will be a new and pure diamond one (maybe incl. some pearls).

For future White Tie events she will wear "her" tiara then or one of the Buttons.

Lady Finn:Every time I see photos like this I wonder why the king has changed totally his opinion of how the royal girl-/boyfriends can be seen with the royals, since it was impossible for Daniel, Emma and Jonas.

Could it be that perhaps that he is and always has favored his son above all the children in the family. His son can do no wrong from the way he has supported him through the years. Daniel has shown to be more of a *real royal* then the king himself and even his son. I really like PV/PD and their lovely strong minded little girl........she is going to be a powerhouse someday.

I totally agree. I think Sofia did a great job with breaking with her past and change her image. I can't imagine other Duchess of Varmland than her

I think if Prince Carl Philip had been the next King of Sweden, then I would see serious problems, with her past catching up with her. A totally different scenario would then come into play. E.g. Would he have to abdicate like King Edward VIII, to marry her? That would be up to the people of Sweden. But in any case, he was not first born, so no issue there.

The British people have had to accept Camilla as Queen Consort, but back in 1936, with Edward VIII, the people refused to do so!

This can be a reason but in general I'd say that attitudes change over the years, people mellow. I was able to do things completely out of reach for my older siblings without even an eyebrow raised from my parents. My husband was welcomed into the family pre-marriage in a far more open way than my sibling's partners, and that wasnt because the other partners weren't liked. Maybe as a parent, if you have gone through a certain process with your child once, you don't bother much next time. I agree that Victoria & Daniel had to suffer from this changing attitude the most, while Madde and especially CG will benefit a great deal. The eldest has always fight twice as hard for something that will be business as usual for the youngest.

She posed for doubtful photos naked/topless when she was a minor, she posed for men's magazine Slitz topless with only a snake on her and was chosen as Miss Slitz. She attended the TV-reality show Paradise Hotel and later posed for nude photos in New York. She also did a swimsuit photoshoot.
