Today's finnish Iltalehti (paper issue) quoted Expressen:
The king has invited Sofia to spend her holiday in Solliden with Carl Philip. During the summers before, Sofia was only invited for some short daily visits to Solliden, but this year the king has organized an own apartment from a house near the Solliden palace (I guess at the palace estate) for her and Carl Philip.
There has happened a big change on the attitudes of the king and the queen towards Sofia. The queen was at first against at Carl Philip and Sofia dating, but nowadays she also spends time alone together with Sofia. Sofia is interested in gardening and she is going to help the queen with her plantations. Sofia can also attend at Victoria's 35th birthday and to the private family dinner.
According to Iltalehti and Expressen, when Madeleine heard about that Sofia has been invited to Solliden, she got angry to her father. She has made many times known to her family that she has nothing in common with Sofia and that she is not going to spend the next weeks with Sofia.

** Maybe we shall see in next few weeks, if any of this is true.

the only reliable info is so far the website of the monarchy, it does NOT mention Sofia, last minute surprises are possible but I doubt.

"No royal house had to transform former soft porn model and reality show contestant. Judging from the reactions from Sweden, they are NOT doing a very good job" is also what I read!! I would prefer to hear about good news for Madeleine, who seems to accept to be more involved in official duties. Yes wait and see!!

The royal court website doesn't mention Sofia, because she isn't a member of the royal family. We will see on Saturday, will she (and Chris?) attend at the Victoriadagen concert.

Sofia attending Victoria's birthday? Even Daniel wasn't at the official celebrations until they were engaged!

Times change and even royal families have to change with them if they want to stay together as a family.

I think it has a lot to do with the King's fall from grace. Before that the SRF was sporting a high moral compass in public. Nowadays the SRF's motto re Sofia's past would be those who live in a glass house shouldn't throw stones.

I also wonder if some of it is coming from Victoria and Daniel. They strike me as caring, empathetic people and perhaps they don't want their siblings to have to keep their partners totally separate from family events, the way they had to for so long.

Yes, me too.
I wonder if Sofia H would be where she is today, if it wasn't for the King C G "controversy"...

Interesting - papers stuffed in designer shopping bags next to a heap of glossy mags, clothes on a rack (which you'd find in a fashion stylist's office) in the adjoining room, exactly one document folder on the shelf...
Thank you for posting these pics, SnowQueen; for depicting a charity organization's work space I find them rather, let's say: Informative.

It looks to me that they are several issues of the one, same magazine - maybe a magazine with a nice article of Project Playground, which they can show to their customers and benefactors?

If so, then (considering that the mags look like they're on their way out into the garbage) the 'customers' and benefactors have perhaps very different reasons to donate to this particular project than being motivated by its charitable efforts shown in a glossy mag...

...or it could be theirs or another organizations annual reports and no longer current. Besides non-profit very frequently have printers and other businesses sponsor their publications as a contribution toward the organization. So the "glossy" may not have cost the organization a penny.

Here they go again: The 'Bunte' writer keeps copying the content of posts from this forum...

It's the easiest way, of course. Who would want to do a lot of work, if you can make it in an easier way?

Even if this is true...I don't see this behavior as total acceptance of Sofia. They don't want to alienate their son and Carl Philips a grown man. They don't have a right to tell him he can't bring a date to their estate. I think the king and queen are showing her kindness because she's with their son and if course the scandal, but I'm sure their feelings about her haven't changed a bit.

Well, it is Carl Philipps choice, not the choice of the King and Queen. It would not be the first time, that Royal parents are not happy about their Children´s decision.
But surely CP has proven one thing now, and this is, that the relationship with Sofia is a serious thing for him, not a small affair. So it MUST happen sooner or later, that the parents agree, if the want or not.

As he dated his former girlfriend Emma for ten years before they broke up, anything happening in this relationship could as well happen later rather than sooner.

I quite agree, anything could happen!

Jenny Alexandersson, the royal reporter of Aftonbladet, writes at her blog that Madeleine and Sofia are nowadays in good terms. Sofia and Madeleine have a great interest in common - charity. Jennys's sources have told her that Madeleine has shown interest in Sofia's Project Playground in the way that she gave Sofia good advice in her work. And as Carl Philip is now engaged in the organization's board so it seems that the PP could be something that welds Sofia together with the family even more.

Carl Philip attacked by an unknown man in Cannes when he was outside a nightclub with Sofia.

Carl Philip and Sofia have been since the beginning of the week in Riviera. Friday night they were at a night club in Cannes, and after three o'clock in the night an unknown man attacked Carl Philip outside the club. The man hit CP with his fists and took a hold of his neck.
- Let me go, let go, the prince yelled seconds before he was beaten. Sofia was heard repeatedly screaming, "darling, darling" as she tried to go between the prince and the unknown man.
The attack occurred outside the club Baoli which arranged "Crazy angels party" where all the guests were dressed all in white. According to a Norwegian visitor, the club was full and at first there was very good atmosphere.
- The prince sat at a table with eight people. They danced and it was a good atmosphere. When we left at three in the morning, we stopped outside. And suddenly there came a whole flock out. One man held the prince's neck, the next second he got a good whack in the head. It seemed totally unprovoked, says the visitor.
A dozen people were around Carl Philip when he was attacked. At the film several people are seen hitting each other.
- Then the prince and his company left. They walked towards the port, said the visitor.
The court confirmed that Carl Philip has been beaten.
- The Prince has been attacked by a stranger outside a nightclub in Cannes. The person was totally unprovoked, came back and punched him, says the information officer, Bertil Ternert.
He does not know about if the incident is reported to the police, but the court is concerned about what happened and are looking closer to it.
The king and queen and the rest of the royal family are also briefed on the attack against the prince.
- Everyone knows it, says Bertil Ternert.
According to Ternert Carl Philip is still on the French Riviera and is feeling well under the circumstances.
- He is surprised and dazed after the incident but otherwise feeling good. This was an inexplicable situation that occurred, says Bertil Ternert.

Carl Philip is normally without body guards, but protected by SÄPO on special occasions. During the attack in Cannes no guards were seen.
- We never go out with what possible threats there are against him, says Sirpa Franzén, Press Officer at SÄPO.
The King has as head of state always bodyguard protection. The Prince and the rest of the royal family are protected in special circumstances.
- They get protection under the special resolution, says Sirpa Franzén.
In general, the prince has bodyguard protection in public contexts. But he has had bodyguards with him even when he had visited the night clubs, in Båstad and Stockholm. SÄPO does not want to go out with if the prince had a body guard during a nightclub visit to Cannes.
- I have no comments on the information that he was there, says Sirpa Franzén.
What is the threat towards the prince?
- We never tell the details of how a person is protected. That's because we do not want to reveal how we work, Franzén says.

Poor Carl Philip, it seems Sophia brings bad luck to him. But taken seriously, it is rather sad after the incident with another member of an European royal family, Pierre Casiraghi in an American club.

Wow, I just read about this attack. So glad CP wasn't seriously injured.

Pierre Henry Brandet, press spokesman for the French police, said to Expressen:
The prince has not spoken to police. We have been informed by the Swedish court and the media. We'll see if the prince makes a note for us. But in this case, we investigate the matter in the meantime, we're trying to get information about what has happened. I have no information that there is often violence in the night club and I do not know if the prince is still in Cannes.
