Her English is good but her intonation sounds kind of strange...however,she is supporting a good project & even if she does it just as a publicity stunt to get positive mention in the newspaper-this NGO hopefully changes the lifes of the children to the better!
The only thing I wish is that she stops talking about her boyfriend all the time,by now everyone knows she is dating the Prince...

Exactly. In case they get married, Sofia will be the tackiest princess around, ever :eek:
Her attitude is not good for any royal family, but maybe the SRF knows better or more likely, they have even worse issues to worry about.

Her voice sounds nice. It's the right voice for how she looks (I hope this makes sense for you). I don't know about accents. I'm sure natural speakers hear she isn't a natural speaker. But she has a clear pronouncing and a good vocabulary. At least from my point of view. But I also think one can hear she's from scandinavia. The way her voice goes up and down and how she makes this mini-stops (don't know how to decribe it better) after a few words kind of gives her away.

Exactly!
She wants to be a princess so bad that it's becoming disgusting. I don't think her heart is in this whole project playground thing. She's all about getting good publicity. I bet she would not be apart of this Playground if she weren't getting attention. She not genuine to me. She's so fake! CP open your eyes for gods sake!:bang::bang:

Me too. I like her and they seem really in love with each other. :flowers: But I don't think we will get any engagement news before the royal baby is born.
 
Well,at first sight it seems the prince could have found better girlfiend than Sofia and to many people she seems to be inappropriate in the future role of royal bride or wife.Personally I think that Carl-Phillip probably will make a mistake if he marries Sophia and he should think twice about the sincerity of her feelings.
But I do believe,Carl-Phillip's parents know their son better than others and I am sure they really wanted to see Carl-Phillip find a sweet girl with an appropriate personality and education,who would really love their only son.
Of course, it's better for him to marry for love....and if he loves Sofia, then he should marry Sofia(in order to avoid an unhappy marriage with possible love triangles).

Sofia is not the perfect choice or the Princess type but I can just trust that Carl Phillips parents know the situation better than us. Seeing as how Victoria was with Daniel a decade before they got married, and CP was with his ex for years and they didn't get married, I will hope that CP doesn't rush to the alter with Sofia and instead takes his time and waits until the honeymoon period is over to contemplate marriage.
 
It bothers me that according to press reports, Sofia was only 16 years old when she posed for a quite provocative photos. It just makes me wonder, what kind of a people her parents are and how she is raised.
 
I would love tho know more about Sofia, is there a biography link somewhere?
 
You can write Sofia Hellqvist at Google and you will find a lot more information of her, especially if you do the photo search.

Carl Philip seems to have represented Project Playground rather officially with Sofia in August.

How is it possible that he is allowed to officially represent this project with Sofia? He is not supposed to do that!

I get the SRF has a scandal to deal with but they are letting Sofia slip in quietly like a thief in the night. She's using this time to benefit her purposes cause a year ago she would not have been allowed to pose like that with the prince for her charity. I'm slowing beginning to agree with those who want the monarchy abolished!

According to the swedish media Carl Philip is a member of board of the Project Playground.

It would be reasonable, same goes for Madeleines future husband. Like in Spain, there is no need to make the siblings spouses HRHs after a wedding.

Sofia Hellqvist attends the Strauss concert at the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki on the 5th January. Sofia receives there a donation for Project Playground, the donation has been collected in Finland.

The Strauss concerts are a big event in Finland, many "big finnish names" are invited to these concerts and it is well covered in the media (not in TV). The concerts are produced by Patrick Lagus, who is a member of a finnish noble family Lagus.

Sofia will attend both concerts at the Finlandia Hall, on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th January
How long has this project of Sofia attending the concert been, spokesperson of the Strauss concerts, Maija Koski?
- We have dealt with this during the autumn. The producer of the concert, Patrick Lagus, has had ten years ago connections to a foundation which functions in Cape Town, Sofia has also participated at it´s work. Mr. Lagus has not met Sofia, but among other things this connection helped to get this project successful.
Will Sofia arrive alone?
- She will come to Finland with her sister Lila.
As far it is known now, Sofia won´t give any interviews, but she has promised to be photographed by the media at the event for the guests on Thursday.

Sofia had given an interview to finnish tabloid Iltasanomat, because of her visit to Finland next week. The interview was at the paper version of Iltasanomat. Here´s some things about the article and interview:

The benefactor arrives to Finland! (That was the headline of the story)

- I have been only once before in Finland, when I was much younger. It is great to be able to experience Finland as an adult. I´m thrilled and grateful about that I can distribute the message of our project now also to Finland.
For Sofia the year 2009 was a milestone, because then she met two persons, who became very important in her life, Carl Philip and the other founder of PP, Frida Vesterberg.
- I and Frida were introduced by our mutual friends, because we had the same visions and the same passion for charity work. We started to plan our joint project right the next day.
Sofia has worked at charity persistently since she was a teenager.
- I was 17 years old, when I first went to Africa. I had toys, pens and books with me. My parents didn´t prevent me to fulfill my own dream. I understood at a very early stage, that on the long run the trips aren´t enough. The anxiety of the people makes me sometimes so frustrated that I could explode. It is unbelievable, how much the people have to fight for the basic requirement and how little help they get. After Ghana I understood, that the case of the children is very important. Nowadays I work from Sweden by collecting assets. Frida lives and works in South Africa.

Sofia has also other distresses in her life. In Sweden they follow the whole time her because she is living with the prince, and the writings of her life before or the suspicions of princess Madeleine haven´t been easy for Sofia. During the autumn, the couple spent a lot of time in Africa, away from the reports of the Swedish court in the press.
- This break was good to my soul. Of course I have spent a lot of time in Africa before, and it has meant a lot of work. Now our organisation has 14 employees and we will employ some more, which means that there is a lot paper work also.
While asked about the highlight of her latest trip to Africa:
- We had a family day with the children on the 10th December. They were given their Christmas gifts, for many of them these were the only gifts. The happy faces of the children will stay in my mind for a long time.
It looks like that Sweden is going to have their own “Princess of the Heart”.

If you date a royal and the relationship become serious or you've dated a long period of time, your life will be examined by the press, by the parents of the royal, and others who have an interest in the relationship. If you have any skeltons in your closet, they will probably find them. That comes with the terrority of being in a relationship with a royal.

The siblings of the royal may or may not like you and this is no different from any other family.
 
I wonder who is funding Sofia and all her "activities". Wouldnt be surprised if it was the Swedish taxpayer via CP allowance via King CG.

I cant recall any other royal WaG who has promoted herself and her activities in such a bold way. :whistling::whistling::whistling: And I wonder if there ever had been the turnaround from borderline pornographic pictures to charity without the possible reward, marrying a Prince of Sweden.

But of course, people can change :whistling:

Why is it so difficult to believe that she really does serious work and not just "activities" with her "Project Playground"? And why the hell should CP pay for anything? Or rather why shouldn't this project not be possible without his help? Would anyone of you think the same ifit wouldn't be Sofia but any other girl?

And why is it so hard to give her the benefit of doubt? This turns more and more into a witch-hunt. Sofia doesn't deserve this. Not when she behaves as perfectly okay as she does right now.
