The queen spoke to Expressen and said that she enjoys the visit.
- It's great to see that they are here and they want to be with. There are many who sing along and clap the beat. For me it is great to see when you manage to make contact with them. Many people I recognize.
How does the Queen feel on her own aging?
- One professor recently told me that seventy-year-olds today feel like 50, and I can only say that it is so. Then there are those who feel that 20 too, but when one gets to that, there comes in crazy ideas like skydiving and stuff. I will not do that, ha ha. But of course it is different to be seventy today, to when our parents were that. There is a more active life, one is more involved in everything. It's funny.
She told about the summer that she and the King did with their grandchildren everything they wanted to. The king fished and laid nets with Estelle. They went to the chickens and picked eggs. Little Nicolas is so small yet, but he was with and he's so sweet. They were many times together the whole family, it was great fun.
How does the queen feel to have her youngest daughter in another country?
- I know what it is and what it means. It is exciting and a lot of work in the beginning. She has two small children, too, so she is busy. That she's in London is nice, it is closer than the United States. They got on very well in the US and will thrive well in London, too. Her husband is Englishman and American, both. It will be nice to go there and watch how they have it.
