The picture of the queen can be yours
You've probably never seen this picture before. If you have not browsed through Månadsjournalen 1993 and stuck with her eyes in a report about the queen who turned 50, that is. It is Child Diabetes Fund together with Stockholm auction works and Lilly Diabetes for the second year in a row is organizing a charity auction to raise money for juvenile diabetes research. The auction will be held at Berns in Stockholm.
The picture of the Queen, who was taken at Drottningholm Palace, included in the auction and has a starting price of 100,000 to 125,000 dollars. (I know, quite a lot of money) but it is an important thing. Every day ill two children in Sweden in diabetes, approximately 8000 children and young people living with the disease that is incurable and fatal. Three times as many children suffer from diabetes compared with all forms of cancer combined.
Auction held on 14 november is World Diabetes Day and they hope to collect a lot of money for research through several unusual and exciting items. In addition to the image of the queen hammer a bikini as Izabella Scorupco wore in the Bond film, photographs taken by Prince Carl Philips mentor Mattias Klum , and silver bracelets from Efva Attling .
Crown Princess Victoria who is patron of the Child Diabetes Foundation will be featured during the evening. Last year sold a unique picture of Victoria itself on the auction and in total were one 653,000 dollars.
