Good that she recycled this blazer. I've always liked this one. I think it looks good on her..

Looks nice but why she wear almost for all the time dark colours?

Magnik, Victoria wore this red dress at the banquet in honour of the Bulgarian President 9.10.2007

and this light beige dress at a gala dinner for Brazil's president 11.9.2007

Not every her dress is in dark colours - maybe she likes dark colours, according to fashion specialists brown suits her very well.

Thanks LadyFinn that's right.
But even her great red gown looks little dark (maybe that's light).
I mean sometimes her clothes even when are quite light has something dark.

Thanks LadyFinn for posting the lovely pictures of the crown princess.

This dress wear Victoria at 11th May 2007 by return Gala (state visit in Danemark) in Malmö.

Interesting outfit, it´s an old dress, isn´t it?

Thanks for the very nice pics from today, LadyFinn :)
I especially like the ones of her getting out of the car, she
looks so great on them.. With the way she had her hair she
reminded me of Crown Princess Mary on some pics.

Victoria looked great! :flowers:
I love that dress and finally she wore her hair open again!
Both thumbs up!
I really like her outfit!

She has lovely hair I never understand why its always in a ponytail even in formal occasions like that wedding she attended.

Bjorkesta school in Nykvarn outside Stockholm was awarded the Bertil Hults Prize and 500 000 Swedish Crowns for their work involving dyslexia. Crown Princess Victoria handed out the Prize to Headmaster Ann-Marie Juhlin, to the right Mr Bertil Hult himself.

Let me get this straight, talk about her clothes and hair is on topic, her chin is off topic?Makes me laugh.

It is very inconsiderate and derogatory to make a negative comment about a persons features, be it the shape of their chin or color of their skin. Clothes and hair styles are choosen for a specific occassion and for any public person may be commented on. However, even with clothes and hair styles there are never any reason to be rude or negative.

Let me get this straight, talk about her clothes and hair is on topic, her chin is off topic?Makes me laugh.

As long as her clothes and hair are relevant to the current events she performs, they're on-topic. If someone wishes to discuss Victoria's hair or clothes in general - we have the Royal House of Fashion to do so in. If you wish to talk about her chin, or anything other than her current events - it might not be off topic in another thread...

Both positive and negative opinions about royals are welcome - but obscene, vulgar, threatening, abusive, or defamatory language is not. http://www.theroyalforums.com/?page=faq

That being said - anyone have a problem with any of this - send a PM to either myself, Marengo or Zonk - the moderators of the Swedish forum. Can we get back to Victoria's events now?

Hanna Regina your link does not appear to be working. I can get the next videos but not that one. I was wondering if you or someone could upload it to a server such as mega

The Rise of the Post-Modern Princess?

The Rise of the Postmodern Princess

I just got done reading this great article. It's about the Postmodern Princess, and gives examples about all of your favorite royal ladies of the time (Mette-Marit, Mathilde, Marie-Chantal), and would really be great in a couple of other threads **cough cough Letizia thread**. But it's something I noticed around half-way down or so.

It says that Queen Silvia told Victoria to "eat fewer burgers". Has anyone else heard this? It was a bit disturbing, especially knowing about Victoria's eating disorder. Could this comment have helped start her anorexia? Or did she even make the comment at all?

There are many factors that would lead one to develop anorexia besides a Mom telling her daughter to "eat fewer burgers." Believe me I know.

Correct if I am wrong, but wasn't it due to harsh criticisms in the press that was one of the main contributing reasons Victoria developed an eating disorder?

Here, post #28, is a longer article from People Magazine addressing the issue originally posted by Lena. The "burger" quote
"The weekly women's magazine Svensk Dam Tidning (which noted last year that the princess looked as if she had "eaten too many hamburgers")...

Queen Silvia didnt tell Crown Princess Victoria to "eat fewer burgers". Thats a lie.

If you read the articles, you will see that the yellow press brought "the burgers" up.

By the way, happy new year to everybody

Crown princess Victoria will be present (with the King and the Queen) at the premiere of a finnish movie "Tali-Ihantala" on Wednesday, I think we will have photos then.

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and Crown Princess Victoria at the Goteborg Aquarium, Goteborg. Gore visited Sweden's second largest city to accept the 1 million kronor (US$150,000; EUR106,000) Goteborg Award for Sustainable Development for his ``relentless commitment to increase public awareness about global warming.''.

wow, she looks so beautiful. this is such a nice look for her!!! great outfit and hear!

OMG... Victoria looks so lovely with her hair down. Someone should slip into her bedroom and throw away all her hair ties.

Victoria is truly beautiful. She just needs to save her ponytails for casual things, not royal duties. That said, I was very happy to see her looking so "put together". The dress and hair both looked gorgeous! Thanks for the pictures.
