She doesn't really have to glam it up like commoners who marry heirs and must always be wary of another woman waiting in the wings to make her move. Instead, Victoria will presumably be Queen in her own right and the situation is reversed.
So she has choices in the way she presents herself that royal-by-marriage women wouldn't dare try to get away with for fear of losing favor with their husbands. Consequently, Victoria wields an enormous amount of latitude in what she decides is and is not stylish (i.e. if she decides a ponytail and glasses are stylish it will have absolutely no affect on the men who would kill to have her hand in marriage).
