Mary, have u got the pic where she's reading to her kids larger than that ? I've never seen that pic be4e , but it's way too small, it's a pity.....

Noor in 1986: Family, Official Portrait--and Army?

Thanks for all the encouraging words. I'm glad you liked the photos. Here are some more from 1986 and a re-post, hopefully larger, of the family photo. The last one is captioned "Noor with female cadets." I don't know; have a hard time making out if that is, in fact, Noor in front row center. Thought I'd post it and see what you think.

Noor or Not?

Tighter view of woman purported to be Noor with cadets. I guess I am wondering if she would be with cadets carrying a gun or not. In an interview given about the time this shot was taken, she said she would gladly take up arms and fight on behalf of her country. Perhaps this photo supports that statement--or the editors got the caption wrong.....

thanx, Mary, the kids KH had from Noor were the cutest of all his children- I think the girl on the right, in that pic where girls are fighting , should be Basma, P Noor Hamzah's cousin, so the person who posted it the 1st time, said, if I remember well.
