Great photos of Queen Noor that is wonderful that she has been recongized by The Women's World Awards what a exellecent achivement for the Queen.

Congratulations QN may you receive many more prestigious awards in the future for your good works. Thumbs up

I like both dresses, the black and golden one,but not the necklaces, they look like costums jewels.

Q.Noor looks stunning,happy that she's finally awarded.

i wonder if she chooses her own warbrobe. does anyone know her fashion designer(s) etc??
...i love her sense of style! she always looks great.

Wich Caftan are you talking about? A caftan is a Morrocan traditional dress for women. I'm from Morroco and I know what I'm talking about.

you're right Joumana, this is not a caftan,QN Wears a jordanian dress I think,I don't know the name of the traditional dress there but caftan is the name of the draditinal dress in morocco.royal ladies(Especially rania and princess mouna) in jordan Wore Designs inspire from moroccan caftan but other dress are not caftan like what QN wears here.

I agree the kaftan or Caftan is the moroccan traditional dress, but I guess that since they are very popular in Europe and even in US,than any other middle eastern traditional dresses, people used to call all the arabic or oriental dresses Kaftans, sometimes even the long shirts with oriental touch are called Kaftan.

The traditional Jordanian/Syrian/Palestinian dresses are called Thoub, or Toobe, not Kaftan.

I don't think that the dress of Queen Noor on the picture is a traditional dress at all.

That's very wrong to call each middle eastern traditional dress a CAFTAN.

I still say it. A CAFTAN is the Morrocan traditional dress of women.

Now that we found out that Jordanian Traditional dresses are not called Caftan (as well as every Middle Eastern Traditional dress), I think we can move on.

Thank you for co-operation

Yesterday, 2nd November 2006 was the 7th King Hussein Foundation award celebration at Mandarin Hotel in New York!

No pictures of the event? Please give links to websites, thanks!

Why we don't see pictures of the great celebration (7th King Hussein award) to memorial King Hussein of Jordan?

Which royal guests were attend by the celebration event?

I'm not sure if there were royal guests. It's no royal event. it's a foundation and in this event some people who did any good things recieved an award and so. I think you will find there more celebreties and politicians than royal guests.
I also haven't seen fotos, there are only articles about.

Thanks for the information. But i know, that queen Silvia of Sweden were attend. And I think there were more royal guests ....!

Salma, many thanks for the links to King Hussein Leadership Prize celebration.

Unfortunatelly only pictures from Queen Noor and the prize-celebration.
No pictures of the guests!

thanx for the link

personally I wish she will marry again , I wonder how her children feel about that .

I remember when Larry King asked her if she would consider 'dating' and she said 'no' and that King Hussein was the love of her life and that her children 'will not approve of it'.
I was curious about this guy so I looked up his pic and with all respect I think he's a bit old for her:ermm: http://www.financial-gurus.com/images/shr/people_new/1881.jpg
anyway, I wish her the best;)

I don't think she will remarry again.

She will do like Prince Rainier have a companion. Someone who shares the same interests. Really, after having a house full of children, your husband dies, and the servants leave for the evening...she must be lonely.

I think the Queen is still young enough to go on with her life and maybe will fall in love again. You never know what the future holds for her. She is still young and very beautiful and any Man would fall for her. And to say that her children wouldn't aprove is wrong. To think that grown children and married themselves, they should want the best for their mother and To say that they wouldn't appove is wrong for them to think that way. I think if her children think that way is very selfish of them and I think Queen Noor should do what she think is right and her children stand by their Mother.

oh, he really looks old
I'm sorry for her. everytime she is escorted by a man, newspaper write about a new love or so.
I hope for her to find a new love, but at the moment I still think no. and when, she wouldn't appear so early with him in official events... she must have known that they would write about it..., so I guess its more friendship. not to forget, he is a jew as far as I know and I guess that this could be a problem for her background and so on, even if this would be a nice culture-bridge :flowers:

I totally agree:) I think that she has "friends" that are male but does not broadcast this to the public. And I for one think it's wonderful, everyone is correct in saying that she is still young and has a lot of life in her and why not be able to go out to dinner with a male companion. It doesn't have to lead to marriage, just a really great friendship.
