she does look pregnant to me, about 7 months pregnant, not in the 1st months, at least- it struck me as odd that we don't even know when was Rym born, where was she born- which lang is her native one - well, we just know nothing about her, we know alot about all the siblings wives, as Rania, Noor Hamzah etc. - not a single thing about Rym except who her father is and what was her job, be4e her wed.

this is a translation for PR intreveiw , i posted it in Arabic but , i think many of you cant read Arabic , so i deleted it and this is the translation.

the website is :

llaill.com

OK , this is the first part , i will skip some information a bout the Saudi women and how Rym did find them , i hope its clear enough ,, really i am doing my best.

CNN, it's not American

My culture is French, and I keep the Arabian woman shyness

My father Al_Akhdar Al_Ibrahimi is severe, has a strong personality and honest

I love Fayroz Kazem Al_Saher and Shab Mami , and I don't know Mohammed Abdou (note: these are Arab Singers)

The interviewer is: Mosalt Bazee'a

The details:

When I met the CNN journalist and spreader, she welcomed me with her huge Arabic generosity.

The journalist and spreader Rym Al_Akhdar Al_Ibrahimi is an Arabic Algerian girl, skilled journalist, studied political science, and has a high diploma degree at the international media, she trained at the French newspaper (Lymoned ) , and participated as an editor at Al_Ahad magazine which is concern a bout the Arabic world in Paris

She participated in a special studies at the journalism institution in NewYourk, and worked in the BBC station, and as a reporter for the united nation in NewYourk, then she moved to the global station CNN as a news reporter at the regional center in London.

Let's have a little chat with her:

Q1: Are you the only Arabic working girl in CNN?

A: No, there is Rym Ibrahimi, Uktavia Nasser and Rula Ameen.

Q2: Your father Al_Akhdar Al_Ibrahimi occupied many important and sensitive positions, what this personality means to you , as you are the most closest person to him ?

A: My father Al_Akhdar Al_Ibrahimi is severe, has a strong personality and honest, he always keeps his appointments accurately, and despite his many problems and works, he always inundates me with his huge love and passions , I copied my soul from him , and he encouraged me to be bold in my career, and he thought me to keep the Arabic woman shyness.

Q3: Where are you from Arabic channels?

A:I have been away for many reasons , I studied in Europe and America in English and French and I am so good at these languages more than I am in my mother language .

And Arabic station needs a lot of the technical constructions, and its needs a professional crew in media and administrations which is able to create what is not exist in those stations, despite the presence of the affecting material in the Arab country.

Q4: Did you abandon many satisfactions about the Arabs especially that you are working in CNN, and its American and has opposite satisfactions?

A:I think the journalism work , should be awarded by the spectator , and through it they can reach to the truth , this is the good job.

CNN station its not belong to the American government, it’s a global station, and every one on the earth can watch it . and we as a journalist knows that we are watched by every one , the policy of this station is to concern a bout the news of all countries more than America it self.

PA is back a gain :)

Prince Ali leads delegation to Arab-Latin summit

BRASILIA (Agencies) — HRH Prince Ali arrived here on Monday to take part at a summit of South American and Arab nations. Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Prince Ali will today address the two-day summit, aimed at bringing the two distant regions closer together, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Jordan's delegation groups the King's Adviser Akel Biltaji, Minister of Culture Asma Khader, Foreign Minister Farouq Qasrawi, Minister of Industry and Trade Sharif Zu'bi, and Kingdom's Ambassador to Brazil Fares Mufti. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, meanwhile, will make his first foray onto the world stage Tuesday at the summit.

Arab diplomatic sources in Brasilia told AFP the United States had pressured several countries to stay away after the hosts turned down a US request for observer status at the summit. But Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and the heads of state from Algeria, Djibouti and Qatar will also be present to thank Brazil's socialist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for holding the summit.

"I would have liked to see greater Arab participation at the summit," Arab League Secretary General Amr Musa acknowledged. But he insisted the summit would become a regular event. The United States is closely watching the summit as the final declaration includes a clause, critical of Israel, that will call for the dismantling of all Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to a draft copy obtained by AFP. Israel is to pull out from the Gaza Strip and part of West Bank this year.

Israel is said to be concerned by the summit statement, but Musa said Monday: "Their worries don't concern me." Participants are also expected to express opposition to Washington's sanctions against Syria and stress "the right for states and peoples to resist foreign occupation" and the need to "respect Iraq's territorial unity, independence and sovereignty." Trade issues will also be tackled, although Argentina has aired reservations about Lula da Silva's push for increased south-south exchanges, noting that it could come at the expense of other markets. Arab countries hope that South America will back Egypt's demands for a permanent seat in any reformed UN Security Council. Brazil, in turn, wants Arab support.

But Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak, whose country is the most populated in the region, has delegated Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit to represent him at the summit. Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah and Morocco's King Mohammed VI, who was received in great pomp in Brasilia last year, have both turned down the invitation.

Tunisia's President Zine Al Abidine Ben Ali and Libyan President Muammar Qadhafi are also shunning the summit, along with Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Committees of experts from the two sides will be set up in a bid to improve trade between the two regions, officials said. Brazilian diplomats say they hope negotiations will move forward during the summit on a proposed $450 million Libyan investment in irrigation projects for Brazil's northeastern Bahia state. Two-way trade between Brazil and Arab countries — with exports and imports balanced — totalled $8.1 billion in 2004 — a near 50 per cent increase compared to the previous year, according to Brazilian estimates.

King calls for joint cooperation between South American and Arab countries

BRAZIL (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday said Jordan's political, economic and social reforms were aimed at creating a democracy that reflects both modern civil society and strong Arab Islamic values. In an address, delivered on his behalf by HRH Prince Ali at the first session of the Summit of South American-Arab Countries, the King said both Arab and South American countries had seen the positive impact of home-grown reforms and learned the importance of engaging all citizens in shaping the future.

King Abdullah pointed out that sustained development was a critical goal for both the regions, and “the only path to opportunity, now and in the future, for our young populations.”

The Monarch noted that people of both regions wanted jobs, peace, security and justice.

The King said joint cooperation could increase the regions' impact on the world economy and at the same time benefit economic development at home.

He underlined the importance of cultural exchange, pointing out that the Kingdom would host the World Culture Forum this year. The annual event celebrates the contribution of the two regions' cultures.

The following is the address delivered by HRH Prince Ali on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah at the Summit of South American-Arab Countries on Tuesday:

Your excellencies,

Distinguished participants:

Thank you very much. It is an honour to be part of this important gathering. Let me express my appreciation to President Lula da Silva, President Abdulaziz Bouteflika, our Brazilian hosts and all those who have worked to make our meeting a success. His Majesty sends his best regards to you, and to all of you, assalamu alaikum.

Your excellencies,

Today's summit recognises the long history between our peoples and regions. But we are doing more than looking back; we are looking ahead, to a future of tremendous promise and mutual benefit.

Key to that future is a new and active partnership — one that builds on our common interests and priorities. At this summit, in these meetings, we are creating the framework: Not a static structure, but a new channel for action... a doorway to the kind of dynamic cooperation that produces real results.

Our regions face many of the same challenges. In South America and in the Arab world, people want jobs, peace and security, justice, and access to what this century has to offer. I believe we can help deliver on that promise, faster, and more effectively, by working together.

Today and in the days to come, I hope we will find new and specific mechanisms for cooperation. Economic areas of importance include region-to-region trade and investment... networked knowledge... and shared best practices. In these efforts and others, cooperation can amplify our regions' impact in the global economy — as well as benefit economic development at home.

Sustained development is a critical goal for both our regions. It is the only path to opportunity, now and in the future, for our young populations. In both Arab and South American countries, we have seen the positive impact of homegrown reform. And in both regions, we have learned the importance of engaging all citizens in shaping the future.

This is the course that Jordan has charted. Our political, economic and social reforms are aimed at creating a democracy that reflects both modern civil society and our strong Arab Islamic values. We have invested in education and a knowledge infrastructure... established a partnership with private enterprise and civil society... and sought cooperation with friends and partners across the world.

Today, we join you in looking forward to new opportunities. We can advance that process by resolving on next steps that will benefit all our countries. Ideas are the first step. I urge every one of you to make your voice heard.

Let me add, as well, that cultural exchange is also vital. We are proud that this year, the honour of hosting the World Culture Forum will be handed on from Brazil to Jordan. This annual event celebrates the contribution of our regions' unique cultures. That heritage of diversity and deep tradition is something our world must never lose.

[Just a month ago, in Rome, His Majesty King Abdullah joined Arab leaders and others, from every region and every religion, at the funeral mass for Pope John Paul II. We were all reminded at that moment — as we are now looking around this room — that the heart of peace and progress is our respect for each other.]

The scope of cooperation between our regions is without boundaries. This summit is just a beginning. Let's build on it, in deeds as well as words.

Assalamu alaikum, wa-rahmatu Allah, wa-barakatuh.

May God's peace, grace and mercy be upon you.

Controlled Demolition for the First Time in Jordan

Amman, May 20(Petra)-- Their Royal Highnesses Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah, and Princess Salma Bint Abdullah attended on Friday the demolition of the last existing building on the commercial site of Al- Abdali Project.

The demolition was carried out by the National Resources Investment and Development Corporation (Mawared) in cooperation with the British Controlled Demolition Group (CDG), one of the world-leading experts in the field of controlled explosive demolition of buildings.

The demolition operation used only 30 kilograms of explosives distributed over 1,000 individual small charges embedded into the main structural supports of the 7- storey building, detonated over a 1,5 second period to ensure that the building collapsed within the allowable range.
