Yes becky I know what you mean, she is so elegant when she dresses up but equally she looks strong when she dresses "down" (not that she ever does) she looks strong too.

It's a contradiction but she looks very delicate and fragile (physically) at times but she comes across at the same time as being strong and sure of herself in terms of personality, she really has honed what she has and developed into a true Queen.

And I have to agree with Tamara, it's a pity about that book on flowers in Jordan - I would buy it if the book was available. I wonder why they would just use if for the Royal Court and just sell the remainder for charity - why not earn more money selling it elsewhere to the general public?

I have to admit that seems an odd decision to me. All that work for so little impact.

it is a pity, just like the children's book Queen Rania wrote several years ago (a story about her late father-in-law, King Hussein). The book was distributed amongst Jordanian school children and Im pretty sure isn't available outside of Jordan.

^I am not sure about QR's skills to write a book for children, but the latter book of ecology seems to be written by some professionals and researchers and deserved to be shared by general public who got interest about that field.

Who's that guy in the back holding Queen Rania's white Prada bag? Her lady-in-waiting or her bodyguard? And does Queen Rania have her own lady-in-waiting? I've never seen one as long as I can remember..

I dont think the Queen has any 'lady in waiting' because its not one of the Jordans royal traditions, if you look closley theres a lady behind the man holding the bag!

Rania doesn't have a lady-in-waiting but it has been remarked in the past that she sometimes uses female bodyguards, for example when performing Umrah.

^I totally agree with you shrifia,

I am not convicted by the shinyness thing over all royals, because if so why nobody noticed her before being a queen, like how shines some actual crown princesses and some young royals ,and i suppose that her popularity came only after she was made a queen, was a part of the mediatisation machine to make a transit after the very popular queen Noor.

well ofcourse people knew her, inside Jordan.
You would'nt expect her to be known internationally.
She just wasn't in the senior position she is in now. Her husband wasn't even Crown Prince at the time.
