This concept was first brought to life by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah who chairs the museum's governing Board of Trustees, and in light of her position she laid the cornerstone for the museum's building which is located at the Ras al-Ayn area in downtown Amman back in 2005

The First Lady is not wearing a "sari". In our country, it is traditionally known as a "kebaya". It is the national dress for ladies here, but we only wear it on a really formal ocassion.

Great pictures everyone . The Queem looks great as always. The King and Queen are really on a roll. Busy beavers. Hope they take time out for themselves soon. Love the outfits the Queen has been wearing. She has been looking awesome. Really like the long hair on her....

Ah, thank you. From the way it draped it looked like a sari, thanks for correcting my mistake. It's nice to see her wearing it, it's absolutely beautiful. Is it usual for them to be made of raw silk?

AMMAN: A Jordanian media firm hopes its new TV cartoon series can achieve what politicians have failed to do so far: bridge the cultural divide between East and West. It sounds like a tall order, but the firm Rubicon named after the river Caesar crossed on his way to consolidating his rule over the Roman Empire already has managed to bring together Americans, Iraqis, Jordanians and a Palestinian to create the cartoon called "Ben and Izzy" about a friendship between two boys, an Arab and an American. The cartoon, aimed at 8- to 11-year-olds, also has backing from Jordan's media savvy rulers, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, who have made it their goal to promote tolerance. Rania will showcase Jordan's first TV cartoon export in New York on at a black-tie dinner Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
