Theophilos talks
Jordan’s King Abdullah II insisted yesterday that Jerusalem must be an open city for Jews, Muslims and Christians during talks with Theophilos, the new Greek Orthodox patriarch of the Holy City. “Jerusalem must be open to the followers of the three monotheistic religions,” state-run Petra news agency quoted the king as saying. His Majesty King Abdullah headed on Wednesday morning to Saudi Arabia to take part in the emergency Islamic summit which will start in Mecca today. An official source at the Royal Court announced that due to changing the date of the summit which was supposed to be held on Nov.30th to Dec.7th which coincides with His Majesty's Asian tour to Japan, China and Thailand which was organized earlier, the King will take part only in the opening session of the summit. The source added that HRH Prince Ali Ben Al Hussein will head the Jordanian delegation after the opening session concludes and he will also deliver a speech on behalf of King Abdullah.

I've been meaning to post this picture for some time and finally got a chance to scan it. It is from the Table of Contents of the recent People magazine which featured an article on Queen Rania.
