King visits Army Headquarters

Amman, March 28 (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Wednesday visited the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces where he met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Mashal Mohammad Zaben.

The King and the army chief discussed a number of issues of concern to the armed forces.

During the meeting, the King expressed pride in members of the armed forces and security apparatuses and in their continued efforts to preserve security and stability of Jordan and safeguard its accomplishments.

King's Letter of Designation to Prime Minister-designate Fayez Tarawneh
Amman, April 27(Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed that continuing the reform march in the political, economic and social fields tops priorities of the new government.
In his Letter of Designation to Prime Minister-designate Fayez Tarawneh, the King stressed that separation between the authorities is an essential principle of the constitution, affirming the importance of cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive authorities.

I don`t think that a former Judge , adviser & chief of the royal Hashimite court like PM Khasawneh could request or give such advice to HM . Simply, because he knows very well that based on the Jordanian constitution KA has the right to deputize any of his male relatives including CP Hussein in his absence as long as they completed their 18 years of age according to the lunar calendar. Also what is happening now in Jordan is struggle for reforms & has nothing to do with the succession to the throne issue.
