She is just really beautiful on that attire.
I just hope that this coming Christmas, the whole Danish Royal Family would pose for a christmas family picture with Princess Alexandra and the 2 boys. That would really be lovely.

I agree with Lori. For a long time, they haven´t really looked at one another-not in the way they used to. If you see the way Joachim looked at Alex in the engagement photos, these recent pictures are heart-breaking. Sure, feelings change after a few years of marriage, but the body language of the 2 now are like they are colleagues, not spouses.
I hope they try to be warmer to one another when with the kids. |

I don't believe that warmth is a requirement for the sake of it kids, it's civility. Having a warm relationship with a former spouse is ideal but usually not realistic. Even for the sake of the kids, I'm sure it's difficult to be around your ex-spouse especially if there are extenuating circumstances to the collapse of your marriage. What these two are doing now is fine for the situation at hand.
Man, if it turns out to be true that the marriage collapsed do to a third person on Joachim's side, Alex is showing an exterme amount of civility towards her husband. I'd have a very difficult time just looking at him at all.

I think the picture of Princess Alex there with Queen Margrethe II is not a recent one. I think that was from the previous years. If one would observe Alex's haircolor and hairstyle, it's different.
I hope the palace would release new official photos of the DRF. It would really be nice.

The occasion is one of Queen Margrethe's birthday appearances on the balcony and the outfit worn by Alexandra is an outfit she wore during her pregnancy -- can't remember if it was with Nikolai or Felix though -- could also be both of them. |

I hope next year that there would be some royal changes regarding the schedules of both Princess Mary and Alexandra. I think both the two should also appear on some activities together not just during masses, birthdays or funerals of some important persons.
I think it would really be great if both of them combine forces sometimes.

More from TV2 on the Christmas Eve of the Danish Royal Family:
According to this article from TV2 NEWS (in Danish), the Royal Danish Court has now officially announced that The Reigning Couple will celebrate Christmas at Fredensborg Castle. The festivities commence on December 23 (in Denmark: ‘Lillejuleaften’, i.e. ‘Little Christmas Eve’). The guests (more on them below) will arrive and TRH The Crown Prince Couple will host a dinner for the entire family in the Chancellery House. On December 24, the family attend the Christmas Service at Fredensborg Palace Church and afterwards celebrate their Christmas privately. The guest list consists of 10 children and 20 adults. From Denmark: The Reigning Couple, as hosts, TRH The Crown Prince Couple, Prince Christian, Prince Joachim and TH Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix. From Berleburg: HRH Princess Benedikte and HH Prince Richard, accompanied by their youngest daughter Princess Nathalie and their son Prince Gustav along with his girlfriend Ms. Carina Axelsson. The eldest of the Berleburg Children, Princess Alexandra, will not attend. She is spending Christmas with her husband, children and in-laws. From England TM King Konstantin and Queen Anne-Marie accompanied by their children: TRH The Crown Prince and Crown Princess Pavlos, HRH Princess Alexia, Mr. Carlos Morales Quintana, TRH Prince Nikolaos, Princess Theodora and Prince Philippos. Moreover the four children of HRH Crown Prince Pavlos and the three of HRH Princess Alexia will attend. The article does not mention the presence of Reverend Peter Parkov, an old friend of HM The Queen, but seeing that the guests mentioned in the article make up 10 children and 19 adults, I deem it safe to assume that the ‘missing link’ is in this case the reverend who, as it has been mentioned in several previous articles, usually spends his Christmases with the Danish Royal Family. Glad tidings Lasse |

Moreover, were she invited, I do not think that the Court would keep it from the public. I am sure that the presence of Reverend Parkov has not been kept from the press, but deliberately omitted from the article because he is not a royal. If HH Princess Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg were invited, it would not be omitted – of that I am sure! The media would love that! I imagine that HH Princess Alexandra is looking forward to spending this Christmas with her parents and boyfriend! And that Prince Joachim is looking forward to celebrate Christmas with his boys this year! But of course, all possibilities are open! All the best Lasse |

It will not be HH Alexandra who is the missing person because she are going to spend her holidays with her mum,dad and Martin. She is not having Nikolai and Felix this christmas eavning, because they are together with their dad, prince Joachim and the rest of the royal family.

That's got to be sad, to be so far away from your kids on Xmas.
