Goodness, I completely forgot about Benedikte's birthday, which was on April 29. The Princess of both Denmark and Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg turned 63.
The gals at DRWs provided a short summary of the Princess. To read more please click here They also provided a short video link about Schloss Berleburg.
Nonetheless, I found more information about the German town which she lives when she's not in Denmark. Bad Berleburg, is a beautiful town and the castle where she lives, along with Gustav and Carina, is simply fantastic. Click here to see a series of photos. According to Billed Bladet Princess Benedikte hurt herself during her latest ski trip to Gstaad. Although not in a cast, she did hurt her hip and damaged her sciatic nerve.

HRH Princess Benedikte has several official events this month, and I hope we will be able to find some articles as well as photos covering these various events. Also this month in Bad Berleburg there will be a classical music concert at the schloss so perhaps she will make an unofficial appearance along with Prince Richard, Prince Gustav, and Carina.

Princess Benedikte has had several events this past month including one on April 4, 2008. In Germany there was an art exhibit which you can read about here (it's in English) Also, the Swedish magazine, Svensk Dam Tidning has an article about Princess Benedikte. I cannot read Swedish, but if another member would like to translate the article we would appreciate it very much.

Princess Benedikte along with her husband, Prince Richard, recently attended the Danish Dressage championships at Broholm Castle.
Competing in the competition was her daughter Princess Natalie. You can view the images from the event here (scroll down.)

June 24:
6:30pm
HRH Princess Benedikte will take part in the opening of Hammershøi exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

I think at the championships Nathile ended up in Second place.

Thanks Emeralds and Opals for the translation - but they called Carina the wife of Prince Gustav! Benedikte looks exactly like Margrethe in that photo.
