Still I think you're right, Mary is going to be more compared with Ingrid, the last Queen Consort, than to Alexandra.

I imagine the big change for Alexandra will come if she remarries. As it is now, she is still somewhat part of the Royal Family. After she marries, I don't know.

Perhaps Alexandra will get back together. Thinking of what brought the two together rather than what caused them to part may help.

hamlet, I highly doubt Joachim and Alexandra will be getting back together. They are both now married to other people (Joachim to Marie Cavallier, and Alexandra to Martin Jorgensen), and they both seem very happy with where their lives are at the moment.
