Does anyone know if any Monarch of Denmark have made a minor Royal a HRH/HH of Denmark? I do mean for them to be in line for the throne, just HRH/HH's of Denmark.
I personally feel that the Berleburg children should be automatically made HRH/HH of Denmark.

If I'm not mistaken the Berleburg children are regarded as HH by the Danish court.
There was somekind of law case some years ago where it was investigated if the Berleburg children were in line to the throne. I believe it was concluded that the Berleburg children (or rather their parents) blew the opportunity because they didn't make the children Danish citizens at birth. It doesn't matter if they applied for Danish citizenship later. At least one of the princesses has done this because she represented Denmark at the Olympics once. I'm sure someone else around here knows this more in detail.

Here I found a guest list from the recent christening with Gustav and Alexandra both listed as HH's:
http://kongehuset.dk/artikel.php?id=75579 I believe it's a policy to strip children from their parents titles one by one, which would mean these children are HH's because their mother is HKH (HRH). The HSH (serene highness, Prince Richard) title isn't used in Denmark, which in my mind confuses the matter somewhat.

But: I just looked up the Act of Succession (in its actual version of 1953) and, other then eg the Swedish Act of succession, there is nothing in it that requires the children to be born or brought up in Denmark. The Act of Succession, as it was passed by the Parliament, should take precedence. I'll check later if there is an official list of the succession to the throne by the Danish Royal House, so that should show how the Queen sees this topic. Hope this helps. |

The succession to the throne is discussed in this thread - for those of you coming late to the party.
