Yes, he has been the regent since 31 October, and I think until the 9th of November.

I don't believe he would have to, he just needs to remain in Denmark. If he did go to Copenhagen for the week, he would have stayed in his apartment at Amalienborg.

There is no job when he is regent, Joachim has to be in teh country from the time he is regent.
He is only regent when the Queen & Frederik are out of the country at the sametime.
Frederik is regent when the Queen is out and Fred is in the country.

the pic where Henrik is hugging Mary is very sweet! she has really found a new family in Denmark!! We have been able during this trip to see what a good relationship this family seems to have!

Prince Henrik seems so joyous and relaxed on this trip- I love the pictures of him laughing, as well as the one of him hugging CP Mary. (Even Fred looks jovial- what a great trip for them all!) I'm sure the princely couple miss the kids alot though...

It's the most adorable pic I've ever seen! And my god Fred looks so handsome and young! Great trip, I've enjoyed seeing all the events, especially the one where the queen is painting. Thanks for all the photos!

This has been a wonderfully happy trip for Prince Henrik. He looks so comfortable and happy in every picture. He's enjoying sharing this part of his life with his wife and the crown prince and princess. It's probably the fulfillment of a dream to actually be in Vietnam with his family, something he's wanted for a long time.

His facial expressions, body language, all tell how good he feels about this trip. A wonderful opportunity to open a new door to his life with the next generation.
