Ove Ullerup, who was Lord Chamberlain and Chamberlain to the Queen since 2003, will leave his position September 1 to return to the Foreign Ministry as ambassador. Wednesday he held a farewell reception at Christiansborg.

I like the style and color -- albeit a bit unorthodox -- of Mary's gown. I'm not sold on the black belt. It seems as if QMII has recycled a gown we've seen before including at the wedding of Prince Nicholaos and Tatiana. Marie looks lovely. As for Henrik -- he dresses to his own tune, doesn't he! :0

Mary's gown, well the color is beautiful on her, yet the fabric of this gown makes the gown look wrinkled and out of place. The style and color are great, a better type of fabric for the gown would have been better. Yes, QM recycled her gown and she still looks nice and PMarie looks the same, boring as usual. PH, well he is himself in all ways and is a delight to see, wish he would watch the waistline as that is a huge problem in the health area. Men and their wines and rich food do damage sometime..........

Yes tonight QMII hosts a Medal of Honour dinner for army officers at Fredensborg Castle. It's a dinner, more than a recpetion, I think. CP Frederik and Prince Joachim attend. QMII has hosted these dinners the last many years, but we've never got any pictures. So I don't think we should expect it tonight either.

Actually Mary was originally written as participating as well, but her attendance has been cancelled. Mary has only once had to cancel due to sickness in the ten years she has been our Crown Princess, but maybe she has been hit by a cold as so many other Danes in these weeks. But I don't think that, I actually more think she and Frederik have agreed on that he will go with brother Joachim and Mary stays home with the children on the couch on a Friday evening and watch Disney Show She and Frederik have been really busy and the coming time as well.
